WOW Good question, I'm proud of you sparkles you're on a roll!
OK I'm gonna go with my man Jr. He is the same on and off the track, he always tries to examine a situation before he lets his tongue start waggin and getting him into trouble, **cough Tony Stewert**cough... And that attitude is definitely important to me. Jeff Gordon is my #2 man and honestly he falls under Jr for that exact reason, don't get me wrong I love Jeff, but he can get a little irritating when he doesn't get his way. (I can be an honest fan)

The driver I've come to respect more and more the last couple of years is Jeff Burton. He was always a decent driver but I didn't realize he was such a good person, all around. He is the epitomy of staying on an even keel. A few of the other drivers that display this are Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin and Carl Edwards. I think it is important to many fans but at the end of the day we are all human and sometimes when things don't go your way it is hard to hide your emotions. I don't like the ones that seem to be negative (Stewart) or complaining (Kyle Busch) all the time.

Carl Edwards. I think most other drivers have gone crazy a time or two or ten, but Carl is pretty much a smiler and nice all the time. Even when he and Tony tangled he was just pretty even kilter about it. Years may change him, but for now he is the one who is always just himself. Jamie McMurray is pretty mellow too.

Yes, I think JR keeps his attitude most of the time too.
I do think I seen them all get a little upset a time or too. I love Mark Martin but he has in the past, before this year been pessimistic and upset at doofus moves by other drivers. It never bothered me, but sometimes he got spoken about why he was that way. Mark always seems to have a good reason when he is upset, he never flies off the handle over nonsense. Gordon whines from time to time, when things don't go his way, but for the most part he isJeff Gordon and you do know what to expect out of him.
But to answer your other question yes, I think attitude is one of the things that are important to fans, but it doesn't make or break all fans on drivers, or some of the drivers would have no fans but their own family.
I think they are all entitles though to a little attitude now and again. I don't mind if they show the bird, or even fender another driver a nudge or front wheel their, like Johnson did to Montoya on Sunday.

Except for his display of irritation with Jr. that one time, I'd have to say Carl Edwards. I agree that Jr. always seems calm on TV, but have you ever listened to his radio? He lets everyone know how he truly feels. I do like Jr. though, and I think a driver has every right to get upset every once in a while. However, that just makes the ones that never do look that much better as persons to the fans. Good question.

Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton, and Bobby Labonte are the first ones that come to mind. They don't seem to get upset easily.
The attitude is definately important, thats is a big reason why fans pick their drivers. I like Tony Stewart because he isn't even keel all the time.

Jeff Burton is probably the best at that.
I have never seen him blame anything on anyone.
He always seems to be able to keep his cool.
Kasey Kahne is a close 2nd.
The only thing I can think of is when he called David Stremme fat. I thought that was a little un-called for.
Hes seems pretty mellow most of the time though, hardly ever plays the blame game.
I think attitude is very important. I know it is for me. Thats one of the reasons I dont like Tony Stewart. But then again, I am Kyle Busch fan.

kasey kahne keeps it mellow most of the time and so does carl edwards and yes i think a drivers attitude is important to the fans one of the main reasons most people like their driver is because of their attitude. Go #9 I agree with lauren that he shouldn't have called david stemme fat and out of shape but other than that he seems like a really nice guy!!

My friend always jokes about how JJ is a robot, instead of Kenseth, cause you hardly see JJ get excited when he wins, almost like he just expects to win and it's not that big of a deal, hardly shows emotion. That's just my friend though. It's hard to judge out of all the drivers because you hardly get to see most of them. I think on a given weekend they only show 10 drivers. Most of the drivers I don't know who they are because the media hardly talks to them. When you go to races the guys that aren't on T.V. all the freakin time are the ones signing everything you throw at them! Everyone deserves their 15 minutes whether they are last or first!

I would have to say Mark Martin, Dale Jr. and Bobby Labonte. They don't get rattled easily; and when they do get rattled you know you did something real foul. Those three are always on an even keel.
Attitude does factor big time with the Fans. I used to like Tony, but the more he kept exploding and beating on Drivers and Reporters the more and more I began to dislike him. Now I just can't stand him. His hypocritical attitude and constant assaults are just too much for me to deal with.
I love my Driver Jeff, but there are times I just have to say "doohhh" especially when he shoved Matt at Bristol last year; nearly launched him into orbit. Matt did deserve it, but I didn't expect Jeff to deliver it.

I think Carl Edwards if someone wrecks him he gets out of the car smiling he isn't afraid to speak his mind either. He has a really good attitude. I think that attitude is kinda important to fans but that is the main reason I like the ones I like.
