I'll never forget my first race. My dad took my friend (who is no longer with us)(automobile accident) and I for a long roadtrip from the shores of Lake Erie, South to Bristol in 1993. I had never really watched any racing until then. What racing I did watch I rooted for Bill Elliott because he drove the Budwieser car (#11) and I was also a big fan of Terry LaBonte and his Kellogs #5. We arrived in Bristol on Friday night and slept in the parking lot of the racetrack in my dads suburban. My dad said since we are here in plenty of time that we were gonna get tickets to the Budwieser 250 on Saturday (Busch Series). When we walked in to the track I was just amazed. When the race started I had to pick a driver to root for. Since there was no Awesome Bill From Dawsonville or Texas Terry in the race I decided my Busch driver was going to be the #44 car because I liked the way it looked and #44 was the number of one of my favorite players on our highschool football team when we went to state in 85. About ten laps into the race I found out that the driver of that #44 was actually Texas Terrys brother, Bobby LaBonte. What a coincidence. Bobby went on to win the Budwieser 250. What a great start to a great weekend. The next day the cup drivers hit the track for the Food City 500. What an exciting specticle. 500 laps of pure power, banging and bumping the whole race. I've never seen so much excitement in one place. The late great Alan Kulwicki won the race in the #7 Hooters car with some awesome driving all day. Since that day I have a part of me that will never forget Alan Kulwicki and what he done as an owner/driver. I will also continue to root for Bobby LaBonte as I have since my day at the Bud 250.
I went to both of the Michigan races last season.
As far as a race that I hope to get to soon, that is a tough one as far as NASCAR tracks. I would love to check them all out. I guess the two highest on my wish list are a Bristol night race or a Martinseville race.
I do have four race trips planned for this year. I plan to go back to Michigan, for the August race. This coming weekend, I am going to Norwalk Raceway Park, to watch my first NHRA event.
At the end of July, the High Myler Nationals at Sandusky Speedway. That is an ISMA (International Super Modified Association) event. I also have a trip planned to Sharon Speedway, on August 14th when some of the Cup drivers will be racing in the E-mods, on the dirt.

I have been to the Daytona 500 twice now but my favorite race by far was the Pepsi 400 the year Dale died. That was elecric! That was my first race ever attending and while I will hopefully go to many more in my lifetime, I am sure there won't be one to top that! It was great!

The tracks taht I really want to go to are Bristol, Talledaga and exas Motor Speedway. Atlanta is pretty close to me so I may make it up there before too long as well.

81, 82 Winston Western 500 at Riverside International Raceway (no longer exsists.....real shame lost a great road course race there)

2006 Ford 500 at Talladega International Raceway.

Hoping soon to get to both Dover and Pocono. Eventually make a trip to the hollowed grounds of Daytona. One day I would love to go out to California Motorspeedway as well.

I have been to Dover and Texas live. I have visited Talladega and Daytona when the races were not there, but I was just traveling through and wanted to see the track. Would hope to get to Pocono, Bristol, Daytona and Kansas soon and actually see a race there.

Sadly I've never been to a live race : (

I live smack in the middle between the Texas Motor Speedway and the Phoenix International Raceway so someday I'm gonna get there.

I came close once in 2003 when my friend was dating Jr he invited me to go to the TX race, but they broke up like 2 months before the November race, and I was begging her to get back together with him, but she wouldn't LOL You can imagine my dissapointment.

Michigan, Charlotte, and Las Vegas.

I hope to go back Las Vegas. It is the neatest track. You have to go through Nellis Air Force Base to get there. The scenery around the track is just breath taking.
