I consider a good salary to be one that allows me to pay all my bills, invest for the future and have a bit left over for frivoulous and fun things.

Cost of living is also a factor. It costs me much less to live than it does someone in a larger city in the same state.

I also don't think it necessary to have all the "toys" and keep up with the neighbors or try to impress anyone with what I've got. As a result, my salary goes much further than many other's who make the same as I do.

It would be around $200-$500 a week. But more important even than the salary is the social and health insurance the job offers both you and your family, vacations, bonus payments, car facilitation, stocks, etc. I live in Mexico.

A "good" salary depends entirely on what your profession is. What would be very good for a store clerk would be horrible for a lawyer.
One way to judge would be to check what is considered poverty level in a country. If I have time to check, I'll see what it is for the U.S. and edit this later.

good salary? idk. $75,000 or more. but it varies from city to city in the US depending on cost of living. making $100,000 in the san francisco is like making $50,000 in portland, where i live.
