about 20 of our years, if well cared for. they get age-related diseases, just like people, when they get older & if those are cared for they can live a looong time!
i found a stray that the vet immediately classified as "geriatric" and guessed his age to be about 15-18, he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and put on meds, lasted another 4 years! would've been longer if he'd been put on meds sooner, but the disease damaged his kidneys a bit before i found him.

If a human is one, the equivalent is 15 years for a cat!
If 2, the equivalent cat years is 25.
If 4, cat years is about 40.
If 7, cat years is approximately 50.
If 10, cat years is about 60.
If 15, cat years is approximately 75.
Should a cat live to 20, it's equivalent human years is 105! And should the cat live to 30, then it would be in human years 120!
If cats are well taken care of and are only indoor cats then they should live to be about 20 in many cases even older.

I had a cat that lived to 20, and I've known a couple other people with almost 20 year old cats. Average is around 12-15 years, depending on if the cat is indoors or out and how well it's taken care of.

some vets say it is 5 yrs to our one, others say its 7. most cats who have long healthy lives, can live up in to their 20ties. so my guess would be way over 140 if its 7 per year. a friends cat died at 23 and anothers cat is 22 so i guess its all on the health of the cat.

A spayed or neutered cat that is kept current on all vaccinations and preventatives and kept inside can live to be late teens early twenties. The better care you take, the longer your pet will live.
