Gita says-

na jayate mriyate va kadacin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah
ajo nityah sasvato 'yam purano

For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor does he experience repeated creation or growth, he does not ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.

Of coarse age is related to physical existance (gravity) and abuse from ones-self to ones-self and enviornment. You're born ignorant and sometimes you die ignorant, the in between years are trying to learn the things you chose to learn here before you were born. You must experience both sides of every concieveable concept. The soul is ageless, You keep coming back until you have learned enough to become devine and remain by your choice in eternity with our Lord. I am not a lamp or any other inanimate material object so I don't see my aging materialistically. (unless I mis-understood that part of your ?) I do believe you can burn out though with too much bodily strength caused by overexertion over a fast and reckless life style. I think I could say I am a young soul with many more trials and tribulations of good and bad to go through, so I'm very young, doesn't mean I look it though.

I am 12 years old.
My mind is aging, I mean I am gaining more knowledge.
Yes, my body is also growing at this point.
I have lots of clever thoughts these days and I think very cleary now and I am getting 100% in almost all my tests.
My soul? Yeah, it really is getting better I have a big heart, I often donate things to the poor, the poor I mean people on the streets.
real material world? No, I don't often put myself in this world.
bodily strength? Yes, I swim everyday for 3 hours, don't ask how many lengths I do, tell you, I do 120 lengths of freestyle of 25m pool, then 60 lengths of breathstroke, 115 lenghts of backstroke, and 38 lenghts of butterfly. All none stop. Do you know how tiring that is?
stage of life? Yeah I'm kind of turning into a teenager soon, next year.

Aging is a beautiful process all life would have (if... lucky?^^), so that we can realize the physical life would end soon, and we can realize it would be smarter if we do something for mind & soul.
Before 25 of this birth, all concepts about love, life, and joy were just "concepts," not really real, but after I get (blessfully) older then that I'm learning them much faster.
Soon, my eyes will not work good, I will not hear other people well, I will not be able to walk long way (which I love to do right now), I'll not be able to fall asleep even my body is tired, my body will shrink, bones become brittle, and brain will slow down. Would all the events affect my essence? Hope not, and I recommend all of you to prepare death many moments in serious meditation.

I am an eternal spirit soul part and parcel of the Supreme Soul aslo known as Krishna, Allah, JEhovah, Vishnu, etc. So I have no beginning or end. Though this body has been in the material world for billions of lifetimes. I have transmigrated through 8,000,000 species of life (acquatics, plants, bugs, birds, animals, etc. until I came to the human form and consciousness. I have probably been a human at least 400,000 species of human forms being that is how many human forms exist in the material creation, acording to the Vedic knowledge. I am sure I have been up and down through these spececis and to heavely planets and hellish ones as well. I probably even merged with Gods energy (Brahman or Nirvana) but got board with that after billions of years and fell back to earth to get another chance to Serve God again. This material wordl is for those who want to be seperate from God. Only one fourth of the souls come here and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving pastimes with Him. Aging is what the body does due to being in contact with material nature. It is just a bodily situation. Even Lord Brahmah's body ages (the oldest living Being and co creator of the universes)Bodily strength is only based on karma from a previous life. The mind is just a conglomeration of thoughts and snap shots and situations from all lives put together. It is material, but we can purrify the mind to be God Conscious. I am the Soul (Eternal Loving Servant of God)
A stage of life is just a temporary situation based on material time. For all info, read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta PRabhupada and Srimad Bhagafatam on line srimadbhagavatam.org/... its all there. I love it.

My mental age is about 12. However, I have gone through a ritual whereby I have seen many different faces on my own in a mirror. If they are all incarnations, then I may be as old as 1000.

In many ways, I am older than my father, who still wallows in the mire of social facade and political presence. In other ways, I am the 12-year-old who watches Star Wars in the theatre over and over to escape reality and become someone else, heedless of the march of time and responsibility.

Experience awakened me in this life; at 25, I leapt from mere aimless childhood to the brink of death in an instant, coming back to find a spiritual hunger opening inside. Sometimes now, I think I AM 1000, awake to the crazy-eyed woman, the Native American or Eskimo woman, the sharp-faced man, the endless procession of others who I may have been. No details remain, but once the door was opened, the 12-year-old inside me turned 1000.

HOW OLD ARE YOU is a same question as HOW MUCH IS YOUR BODY WEIGHT! , if i ask you your body weight, you will reply according to what weighing machine tells you, but if the same weighing machine and the same person we bring to moon then the weight will be 1/6. if on earth it is 60 kg, on the moon it will be 10 kg only. So what is our real weight, we can simply say the question is half, we should ask "what is your weight while on earth planet, or moon ....
As to Aging, all material [including our body] comes under the impression of time, as we live in time, all creatures no matter live or lifeless are corroding under the Ultimate law of dharma, suppose this birth my name is "A" the same logic works here, we should ask when you were born as "A" what was your age then or how old you were at the time of death. measurement within the time will be depleted within the time, if we talk about meta-physics then there is nothing like Age, it is like water brought to zero degree changed into ICE, then the same ice brought to 100 degree temp changed into steam, so asking the age should point clearly , whose age? water's ICe's or Steam's! we are changing forms , every form has a particular period to stay according to situation. if the question is clear then the answer will be clear too.
2nd aspect is , when question is asked then listener thinks it mean as "oh i born in 1980 thus iam 27 year old, but listener listen the question with his own limits of understanding, if he use mind then he will answer like a calculator, if he use "BODH" then he will not answer like calculator, he will bring out a deep smile.

I feel that you are only as old as you feel. You can be 16 and have the weight of the world on your shoulders so you feel like you 86.

As for me I'll be turning 34 next month but I feel and look like I'm 17. Why? Because I refuse to let life's problem weigh me down so my body doesn't age as quickly as some.

Only bad point is when I buy cigarettes for my husband I still get carded

I'm 41 but I'm very fit and youthful in comparison to most 41 year olds because I've never smoked or drunk alcohol and I've been involved in cycling since I was a teenager. Even so I do sometimes feel my age.
