1Jn5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not...(One born of God cannot abide in sin by making it a pleasant habit because of the Holy Seed within.)...but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself... (makes the soul choice to die to the corruptible flesh lust & follow after the fruits of the Spirit)... and the wicked one touches him not...(that is satan & the demons who cannot posses or cling to one born of God).
You should read 1-3Jn & realize that when one is born of God, they have the Holy Spirit seal. One cannot feel comfortable in demonic root sins. So, demonic possession is impossible. But being oppressed by demons from a distance is possible if the Christian is being disobedient somehow. And if the Christians tries to continue in this disobedience, Christian could die & go to heaven early. I believe this is when a Christian sins unto death. There is no reason to pray for this person then.
Once one is born of Gods Spirit, then has ever lasting life in newborn spiritman. So, nothing we do or not do can change this. This is Christ righteousness.

God fearing is another question. A person who has confessed Christ and been baptized can be possessed and there is certainly Scripture for it, it you will read it.
Judas confessed that Jesus was Messiah and followed for nearly three years. He was privy to both the public teaching and private understanding; he was given authority to peach and to heal and to cast out demons, and did so. He ended up being possessed.
Peter confessed Jesus and followed him. He too took part in the ministry; but like the others he was not converted until Pentecost. In his unconverted state the devil sought him, but the Lord prevented. Otherwise Satan would have sifted Peter (possessed) him. Read his history in Scripture.
The devil even came to Jesus at the end, even as he did in the beginning, to see if he could find anything in him whereby he could be claimed and defeated.
Jesus said that demons seek clean lodging, that is to say "swept clean." Who then, if not Christians? God creates a clean heart and renews a right spirit. That which is cast out, finding no other lodging, will make every effort to return.
Many Christians are swept clean being justified by faith. Like Peter they jump gladly into the water of baptism; but fall short or receive poor teaching and fail to receive the Holy Ghost; which is the full indwelling and power of Jesus Christ.
Without a true Pentecost one is a house swept clean and a constant target without overcoming power. Even well meaning, these are as unstable as Peter. Now consider that we live in an age many times worse than the day that Peter lived in. And we live in a world where God's spirit is being withdrawn in its striving with man; as it did in the days of Noah and Sodom.
If you need more, consider the parable of the sower of seed and Rev. 21: 7,8. Rev. 8 lists many terrible things. We could assume these are the sins of worldly people? Read verse seven again. The ones who inherit are ones who overcome the things in verse eight. They are not only pulled out of them but stay out of them.
The above means that verse eight includes people who tried but failed to overcome. There is no mention of demon possession in this verse; but most of the things mentioned require either possession and/or cooperation with demons.

The Charismatic Christians with whom I have spoken have generally said that yes, a person who is Christian and baptized (or not) can become demon possessed. They would attriubute the possession to spiritual warfare, or an attack upon a believer by the forces of evil. Such attacks are meant to challenge the believer's faith or challenge the faith of others. Overcoming the attack through prayer, fasting, etc. is a sign of renewed faith and the need to be entirely dependent upon God.

No. You body is the temple of God. When live w/ God, He is in your temple.
However, you depart from God, and He departs from you (and you return to your former life), that demon can return, and will bring 7 others more foul than himself, and the end of that person is worst that before.
Walk w/ God and be blessed.

David F., short, sweet, and to the point! My thoughts exactly.
Didn't those who accused Jesus of having a demon, commit the unpardonable sin?

no. no one can be possessed by demons, baptized or not. most educated people in the year 2007 realize that "demon possession" was the way primitive ignorant folks explained strange and destructive behavior before mental illness and brain chemistry imbalance was recognized and understood.

No. "Greater is he that is in you (that happens at Baptism) than he who is in the world"
Baptized Christians can be demonically oppressed, harassed and tempted - but not possessed.

I have never found any Biblical reference that a person who is saved can be possessed. " Can a man serve two masters?"
