i think kemo is a really unique and cool dog name. I have 3 dogs and unique names really bring more personality to them. I think that name is totally cool and it does not remind me of the therapy.

i though of Nemo the fish!!! you will soon affiliate kemo with your dog and not Chemo the cancer treatment. If you not good at accepting that, you could try calling him Keemy or Kemop, or somthing like that

I automatically thought Kemosabe, but it was because of the spelling. If you had written the dog's name as Chemo, THEN I would have thought of chemotherapy. Hearing it, I might have thought of chemotherapy, too.

Yes, I think of the treatments, also. I would try to name the dog something else. www.favoritepuppynames.com has the most common female and male dog names as well as names listed in alphabetical order. I'm sure you'll find something there !

It sounds like the dog was purchased to be a support dog for someone suffering from Cancer.

I immediately thought of chemotherapy, like the dog had chemo or was to help someone that had cancer and was poorly named.

I thought by the sound it must be either an Asian breed or a Husky type dog.
Chemo(therapy) did not cross my mind at first thought.
