I had pain like that turn out to be bleeding ulcers

A little more info about you would have been helpful. If you are fat, flatulent, and in your forties, it could be a gallbladder attack. It could be osteoporosis. It could be cardiac. Are you a smoker on the pill? Could be a pulmonary embolism.
Then again, it could be time to see a doctor instead of looking for on-line diagnostics. This is not something you should be guessing about.

It could be your heart, get it checked out. It might be something else but better safe than sorry.

Just go to your doctor, he'll tell you what to do.
