4 quarts with filter, Ford recomend either 5W30 or 5W20 in yoour engine.

4 quarts then check it.. If you changed the filter it might take a full 5. Many people just dump 5 quarts in it and over fill the car causing issues like blown head gaskets. This goes for most cars.. put 4 in , start it up, let it run for 5 min, shut it off, let it sit for 5 min and check it again. If its low a 1/2 quart then add only 1/2 quart more. What happens is that most systems hold 5 quarts but there is no way to drain it totally. Some oil is always left lying in the motor. Its usually about 1/2 quart lying depending on the design of the motor.

did u also change filter if did put in 4.5 quarts and start the motor let it run to operating temp turn off let oil drain down check dipstick add to reach full mark had a 1994 and thats what i did

Oil capacity (with a filter change) is 4 quarts of 5w30.
