Personally I have never seen a christian try to force anybody to do anything.Nor tell someone they are going to hell , they might mention it as the pros and cons of sin.

But you asked why? why do they bother in the first place because they care.they love you as a brother or sister. for the same reason you tell a child not to play with fire or razor blades or don't stick your head in the oven and etc.If they didn't care they wouldn't say anything, they would remain silent worry only about themselves and laugh about your choices'
But rather than that, they allow themselves to be ridiculed and laughed at, while using what free time they have to bring you a message of love and forgiveness.
What do you think is a fair punishment for these crimes ?

How do we force it on others? Sure some wacko christians may be abrupt and abrasive, but we don't threaten you at the stake unless you recant.... Oh, yeah, sounds like what the Catholics did to us Baptists..... Okay, now I know what you mean... Why do they?

I don't... I can't force you to believe one way or the other, so I don't try... I tell you what the Bible says, and what I believe, and you can accept it or reject it... no force involved.

Oh, by the way, Hell is not a forceful tactic... It's fact. It is a consequence. You choose God, you get Heaven. That's the result of accepting Him. If you reject God, the result is Hell. No force, just fact. Like it or not.

I said the same thing for years. It is funny though. After becoming a Christian and looking back I can only remember one time when someone told me I was going to hell and that was a fellow Quake clan member. I think that the fact that it made me mad was in itself proof that there was something inside me that agreed with that. If I told you you were going to be reincarnated into a dog because of your moral posture, would that bother you?

Kinda. People are flawed. Christians love Christ, and they want to bring more people into that love. Sometimes their methods are flawed, and this is a shame.

Being a Christian isnt just about other Christians or even the church, it's about asking the most enlightened spirit ever to grace the earth for help. What are the attributes of an enlightened spirit? Love, wisdom, justice... Asking for help is a humble thing to do.

it is true that if you don't know christ, you 'll go to hell. but many christians don't know the right way of saying it. Many times we condemn people, but we don't have the right to condemn everyone, God is the judge. But Jesus said that He was the way the truth and the life, no one goes to the Father except thru Him. I don't want to force anything on you because really it is your choice. I'm sorry if christians have seemed to be very forceful, but this important truth is harsh and hard. You will go to hell if you don't know God. You will be separated from God. Believe me, if you know God you don 't want to be separated from Him. So its your choice. You have to decide whether you wanna live eternally or suffer eternally.

I guess it is because there are so many atheists out there trying to push religion out of everyone's lives because they don't understand it, don't believe it, and they think they are better than anyone else. I think that is more childish.
Just look at the thumbs down for anyone who doesn't agree with the "hyper-intelligent" atheists who suggest that anyone who doesn't agree with them is ignorant.

I am a Christian and no i do not force my belief on anyone. What i do however is share what i believe with them and invite them to the faith.

I think you are generalizing with your question which makes it unfair.

I don't have time to impose on others as this would be a violation of Biblical principles, but i do care about my bothers and sisters. and only wants whats best for them.

Jesus is best for them an in time they Will know this.

They are passing judgement when they make those kind of statements. As for me, I don't force Christianity on anyone. Currently, one of my daughters is an atheist. I'm not trying to force her into believing differently. Freedom of thought has to be allowed for a person to grow.

No one should force anything on anyone, whether one is a Christian or a non-Christian.

But, one shouldn't force someone else to stop saying what they believe. I, as a Christian, believe that sinners go to Hell. You want me to stop saying that.

So, who is forcing who?
