Wish someone would silence them in Indiana!
We have a car tag available that say "In God We Trust."
They do have their 30 seconds of silence in the public schools, but they want that.
In Indiana, ALL public school children must say the pledge and have 30 seconds of silence before the school day starts.

I'm a Christian and didn't realize we were.
There are probably more urban legends about it (snopes.com) than actual instances of Christian's rights being infringed upon.
It's not always popular to hold your ground on creation, homosexuality, and other popular discussion issues, but why should we expect it to be? That's not what it's about. Not popular isn't the same as being silenced.
The Evangleical/Billy Graham types seem to have won big with the election of Pres Bush twice. I wish they had been silenced. I imagine these are making the biggest stink abot being silenced, but I can't see the logic myself.
Alot are mentioning the public 10 commandment displays. Christians who think that is a priority are uninformed and certainly don't speak for me. Not being an Israelite (Deut 5:1-5) and Christ having died (Heb 8-10), Christians are under the New Testament!

At breakfast today, a few of my relatives at the hotel (I'm staying in Michigan for a family thing) talked really loudly about an unfortunate high school boy in New Jersey who was asked to leave a prayer out of his valedictorian speech. When I said that perhaps a sectarian prayer might ruin graduation day for other teenagers and their parents, they shouted me down. When I asked how they'd feel if they were asked to pray to Allah or Thor by the valedictorian, they said, "That's different." And then my wife decided that she had to "show me something" very quickly, and we never came back.
I think this is a representative sample of the silencing Christians face by Pagans and atheists in America today.

I am a Christian and I get sick of hearing other ones complain about "persecution" going on here in America. They are completely ignorant of what persecution is. In some other countries it is happening but not here. So, to answer your question, we Christians are not being silenced and so some of us actually should silence ourselves.

I didn't even know that was a problem. Last time I tried to talk about atheism I was shut down forcibly and ordered to accept the word of God or rot in hell.
If they are being silenced...anywhere, I'd like to know. It seems that the dominant religion in a country would only complain when they don't get to breach justice. Like placing the ten commandments outside. That breaches everyone else's religions, but Christians get angry when they aren't allowed to do it.

Nope, don't believe American Christianity is being silenced here. No matter what other faith, political party, race, or even if you like Chevrolets, we hold on to our basic freedoms. And freedom of worship is one of them.

When I am flipping through the channels and come across a televangelist I flip on by thus effectively silencing him or her in my own home. I do not do this 100% of the time though, sometimes I like to stop and stare, kind of like watching a train wreck.

Yeah, they like to make martyrs of themselves. The fact is that pretty much every belief system has been persecuted at some point in history. But I would disagree that the US is overall an unfriendly place for Christians today.

Here in Boise, they're up in arms because a ten commandments monument was removed from a PUBLIC park and put on church property... this because Fred Phelps and his hate entourage were planning to come here and rally around that monument and spout their bigotry and racism. Apparently they would have agreed with having him do that, since they vehemently opposed the removal of the monument. Just what Idaho needs, more fuel to the idea that we are all redneck idiots.

Their idea of being silenced is people telling them to keep thier god to themselves. How that is silencing them I have no idea since we can't seem to get them to shut up.
