schni schna Schnappi
It come from the song "Schnappie, das kleine Krokodil"
schni and schna mean nothing, they are just fillers (like in I lalalalalalala love you)
Schnappie is the name of the little crocodile from Egypt, directly by the Nile
Schnappie is really a phantasy name coming from "schnappen" which means to snap - exactly like the jaws of a crocodile would.
The song was sung by a girl who was nine years old when the song was recorded - it became a hit only a few years later iirc and was written by her aunt.
