From what you describe, this sounds normal.

I too feed canned food (only) and neither cat spends much time at the water bowl. I change it regularly, but if I didn't it would probably last a week!

Your cat is getting the water she needs right in her food, so she's actually in better shape than cats who eat dry food and drink water from a bowl.

So long as she's urinating normally and it doesn't smell super strong, I think she's fine.

You can always check her for dehydration - grab her (gently) by the scruff, and if it takes a while for the skin to retract, she's dehydrated. If it snaps right back, she's fine.

Last but not least, you could always invest in a water fountain. You probably don't need this, but if it'll make you feel better give it a try. Some cats are intrigued by running water.

Make sure you are using a stainless steel or ceramic bowl for the water. No plastic. Some cats are allergic to plastic and the water on a plastic bowl smells/ tastes funny. Just keep the water next to the food and let your cat drink whenever he feels like it. Don't give your cat any milk, yogurt, juice or anything other than cat food and water and he should be Ok plus you're feeding her canned food which contains mostly water anyway so she should not have any problems. I forgot, try putting an ice cube on the water. Some cats like to drink from the toilet also. Maybe that's what she's doing. Just make sure you flush each time.

She doesn't need water if she is eating wet food, she gets all the moisture she needs from that. Cats are desert animals, in the wild they rarely drink water, if they are fed with prey and not dry food. Give her dry food for 2 days and you'll see she will drink. My cat had not drunk water in months when he was on wet food. Of course, it is good to drink some water, so you may add some in her food, just a little bit, don't make it like a tasteless soup, because she won't eat it.

As long as your cat is peeing and is not obviously unwell she may be drinking from elsewhere (they seem particularly to love rainwater collected in anything outside). Keep an eye on her but if you're worried consult a Vet. My elderly cat recently stopped eating and drinking and it appears she has a liver problem currently being treated with steroids and antioxidants. Kidney problems usually make cats drink a lot so try not to be concerned if she seems well.

Don't add anything to the water- fresh water is all they should be drinking, adding something to it may not only be bad for her but will probably put her off it even more. I have two cats and hardly ever see them drinking but obviously they do- are you sure she isn't drinking when you're not watching her? :)
