Children are inherently less programmed and more aware than adults are. Their minds are not limited by what we assume is real or fictional. As a result, they are far more open to experiences that we take for granted as not existing. They lose this ability over time as society as a whole convinces them "they can't".

Children are learning how to observe reality through a human lense. They are more open to what is really there. When we grow up we create labels and standards which litterally blind ourselves to the spiritual reality surrounding us.
Whatever you so believe you shall experience. If you have ever seen a ghost, take this as a lesson that you are a spiritual being, and you are self responcible for your own soul, what you do in this life determines where you find yourself in the afterlife.

Children are still developing and do not have the comprehension skills adults have(most adults). They believe things rational people do not. You seem to have not gone through that process fully since you still think that ghosts are real.

Little kids are very easy to fool and don't have the frame of reference to correctly interpret what they perceive. This is often true of less developed cultures, they interpret a sickness as a curse or possession

Young children sometimes have difficulty seperating reality and imagination.
Their brains are still developing and this is quite common.
They are NOT seeing ghosts.
They ARE percieving things they imagine as being akin to reality.

Children are more attuned to their gifts. As they grow older, if they are not trying to perfect their gifts, the ability dwindles. My daughter use to see auras when she was little.
