I just found out that Deke's Y!A account was deleted last night. He has no plans, as of right now, to appeal it.

Despite what anyone thought, he brought funny and thought-provoking questions and answers to the table which earned him fans that were believers and non-believers alike.

So here's my question...is silencing the voices of atheists and other dissenting views on this site "doing God's work"? Is someone higher up really keeping score, or is the person keeping track a little closer to home?

That's awful! Deke was really funny, usually kind, and tried to be fair. His questions were great, too. I hope he comes back. And I hope whoever got him deleted gets -100 Eternal Reward Points.

God seems to work however people want him to work. Some want a just and loving God, so they blame the bad stuff on the devil. Others want God to do whatever they want, so God is pretty crude.

Some will say that it is God's work, and that whoever accomplished this feat will be blessed in heaven.

Others will say that God had nothing to do with it, that somebody just really hated Deke.

Others will say that the religious did it to earn favor with their God.

No matter how you put it, it was probably ridiculous. If God's work is to silence all who go against Christian opinion, then God is no better than a cruel dictator.

1 The problem with understanding the principle of freedom is each of us has our ring-pass-not at a different level. One person will get very upset at restrictions of freedom within his ring; but another, who does not see himself as affected, will not care. If we attempt to restrict freedom outside of our ring then the time will come that we ourselves will find our own freedoms restricted. If we attempt to restrict freedom within our ring, but in an area where we have no personal interest, the time will come that an area of interest for us will be affected.

17 In an atmosphere of freedom that which is truly good and usable will manifest as a plant growing from a seed; but in an atmosphere of restriction even the most wonderful of all seeds cannot sprout and grow, but will suffocate and die.

18 Freedom is an essence at the core of our very being and evolution, and terrible karma awaits he who supports a reduction thereof which results in an overall diminishing of this greatest of the gifts of God.

19 The principle of freedom is not widely understood in the world today - and even if it is understood by some, it is not trusted.

20 When we choose freedom we always take a risk. But of course in not choosing freedom we are assured a bad ending, even though the few may benefit for a short time.

22 Many proclaim freedom and walk into slavery. Others, a very few others, proclaim and live the principle of freedom and walk into the very heart of God, drawing many behind them.

23 The important thing to remember is to keep the spirit of freedom burning within our breasts and allow those with whom we disagree to have their say.

Heaven is not based on a "points" system. God loves us all and will let us enter Heaven if we love Him and love our neighbors.
To answer your question, I don't think God wants us to delete or report people just because they disagree with you. Jesus said "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." You wouldn't want people silencing you just because they don't share your opinion, would you?
Now, trolls, on the other hand, should be deleted because they are just in here to stir up trouble and have no positive function.

Same thing happened to me before, but deke was alot nicer and funnier than me, so that goes to show you what a lack of a sense of humor religion brings you. (not to say there aren't stiff non-believers)

His account must have been deleted due to racist/sexist/homophobic remarks. For Y!A to delete an account on purely religious beliefs, would be a serious violation of the Freedom of Speech.

No higher power was involved; just someone enforcing the principles of the country that Y!A is operating in.
