I told a guy friend of mine that sometimes I wish I was the right girl for him. He responds by saying "well we live in different cities, I have done the long distance thing before and hated it." What should I do? I backed off and quit contacting him yet he still contacts me

Sometimes things you neither right or wrong. You just have to be patient and do whatever you want to. Enjoy what you have and stop questioning and worrying about stuff.

You can worry and question everything while you are dead. :)

Well if he wants to date you then he will ask you. Long distance relatonships are very hard and it seems as though he is using you but it is still to early to tell. I would keep talking to him but i would not get hung up on him.. Do not let him think that you are waiting around for him to call. Just about life as you would and date other people. Is this relationship headed for a long distance disaster?? How far apart are you and how old are you????

Hes reluctant prob because his relationship failed so he only assumes this one m,ay as well. He may be hesitant to get let down again by the long distance. How far is far? If its too far, then you'll spend more time worrying about it then enjoying it!

What he is saying is that he still wants to be friends but nothing more.

Long distance relationships are hard, they really are!!! I know, because I have been through all that!

Just be his friend, he is still contacting you becuase he just wants to remain friends, at least he still wants to be friends.

Count your blessings for that!

Be friends with him, which is what he seems to want. If you two are compatible enough to consider long-distance dating, you could be life-long friends instead.

PS I love how you keep reposting the same questions... All I have to do is copy and paste my answers!

To me it sounds like he just wants to be your friend. Or he had a bad experience with his last long distance relationship and to scared to try again!

Don't love him if you are not ready for a situation such as that.
It may end up hurting him and as well hurting you.
