I'm 25 120lbs and 5'6. However I think 20lbs is ALL IN MY MIDDLE. It's not in my head I am not anorexic-I love food too much....which is why I am in this situation! When I look at myself I honestly look 4 months pregnant-trust me I am not actually pregnant. My stomach looks bloated all the time no matter how much water I drink and protein I eat. So its gotta be fat. How can I start to get rid of this? I tried the south beach diet but i cannot get past the first 2 weeks as I HATE eggs and cannot find anything else to fill me up. So I end up starving all day. Is there any fuit that is good for losing weight? I am just totally confused....I have it stuck in my head now that grains and fruit are bad! Isnt eating fresh food a good idea? When did fruit and grains become the enemy? Can't I be healthy AND enjoy what I eat? Please help!! I need to start shrinking this fat!

The reason I didnt mention exercise is because to me it is common sense. I know that it will give you tighter abs but I also know you cannot spot train and it is no good having tight abs if you cannot see them through pounds of fat.

I have been in the same position as you. and what I did was do cardio and then workouts to workout my core. Like pilates or Hula (they have weight loss movies), and yoga, and the fat just comes off and underneath is an awesome layer of muscle. Try not to over drink water, you could be retaining. Try to get diuretcs during that time for the month and if it seems like you lose weight then it is because you are retaining water.
I hope I could help a little bit at least.
and on the whole food thing. They say grapefruitt(which I hate) is the best weight loss food. I disagree though, but everyone body is different. Go one google, and google negative calorie food and wit will give you an awesome list of great fruits and veggi. Oh and Fat Free Yoplait Yogurt keeps me full in teh middle of the day, and high fiber cereal, and almonds.

And dont listen to the guy above me about alli. Alli has been proven to lose 10-15 lbs in 6 months. And you cant have a high fat diet or you will have to chain yourself to the toilet. Ask your doctor for ome advice they are the best people to ask.

Honey, we've all been there. Heck, I'm there right now! :D But don't sweat it. If you diet right, weight may not drop off instantly, but even a slow and steady rate is better than nothing. And the biggest help? Ugh, though we all hate it, we have to work out. But don't focus on only your stomach. I have a personal trainer, and she told me that when you do crunches, it strengthens your abdominal muscles, but doesn't necessarily remove the fat on your stomach. You could do back excersizes and your stomach fat would be burned. (That's not true--just an example.) Work out as much as possible, though. The more calories you burn, the more chance you have of losing weight. Try and lose at least 500 calories a day. Then, eat in moderation. Eat 5-6 small meals instead of 3 big meals and snacks in between. Food is good, and it's hard to resist, but try and incorporate your favorite foods into small meals that are low in fat and calories but high in protein. For instance, if you like chicken, you could make grilled chicken salad. If you like fried chicken, then you could eat it, but for sides, eat something healthy instead of mashed potatoes or coleslaw. Eat a side salad and a roll or something like that. Don't eat by the clock, eat when you're hungry. If you diet and excersize the right way, then you're sure to lose a significant amount of weight. Not necessarily at one shot or in a few days, but through the months and years, you'll look and feel better. :D
Good Luck!

You can't loose fat on specific parts only by diet and exercise. For that you need liposuction or the more high tech ones using special 'fat-melting' fluid injected to specific area of your body.
That big stomach you have maybe not all fat, try this. If you can suck your stomach in completely flat an inch or more deeper than the ribs (when it's relatively empty) or if you pinch that flab less than an inch than it's just loose skin and muscles, not fat. If you love to eat - a lot, you may force the stomach to expand to it's maximum capacity and beyond, stretching the skin and muscle and make them loose. This also happened if you drink too much - since the name "beer belly".
If this is your problem that what you need is exercise that area's muscle. The simplest one is crunch. For better and faster result try pilates.
Don't starve yourself, it will trigger your body to lower its metabolism, and you'll burn less calories. You eat less, but the pounds won't go away.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

You could probably try Slim Fast as a substitute for a meal. It can help you lose weight from your stomach. Stick with the fruits and vegetables. And you'll have to do intensive sit-up work outs everyday, maybe before heading to work. You'll notice a major change in a few weeks.

OMG ME TO, but now I am only 100lbs. The diets cost to much for me and I was always like hungry too. I eat watermelon, bannnanas, apples and honeymelon. I got those fruitcups (fresh ones not pre packaged) at like Shaws. Then I did a 1hr to 1hr and half of cardio a day. I also drank lots of water. Cardio really causes the pounds to come off. Good Luck

Walk 1 hour every day. Drink your water. Eat 2 large salads full of veggies and 4 servings of fruit EVERY DAY. Along with that, eat fish and chicken and avoid red meat and ABSOLUTELY NO FAST FOOD!!!

I would also start lifting weights while you watch TV and do situps. Muscle burns a lot more calories than fat does!

Don't do fad diets that have you eat one thing. It is so bad for you. Eat a balanced diet, but if you want to lose weight then cut back calories and get more excercise. It you truly have excess fat in your stomach, it will go away.

Most important of all, be honest with yourself about what you're doing. I know so many women who pretend to diet..they eat salad for lunch at work, pick at their meals with friends/family, but they are sneaking candy bars and driving thru McD's when alone. Then they blather on and on about how they can't lose weight. It is so stupid.

I do believe the answer to your problem is to exercise. Just do simple things like crunches on the floor or bed. Do as many as you can at a time as many times a day that you can stand. Try to eat only fruits and vegtables for one week and see what happens. My freind Bill did this and lost 20lbs. in just 2 weeks!!!!

I found that when I went on Low Carb, Low Fat, High Fibre, High Protein, and walking as my main exercise,
my tummy slimmed down the fastest.

Low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein is just fabulous. Eat lots of lean meats with lots of veggies. I take low fat yoghurt, dark chocolates, ocassional cheesecake n oats cookies too.

Weight and height wise, I am fairly proportionate to you, but I have a flat tummy. See my pic in my blog. http://www.lowcarblowfathighfibrehighprotein.blogspot.com

And yes it is possible to enjoy food and be slim and healthy,
