Just curious, if anyone out there knows what its like to serve hard time, or know someone who has.

take out every personal item in your room. make the walls made of concrete, and make the door either bars or a door with a small window. then make the window in your room tiny and put bars on it. not your not allowed to leave. the only time you can do anything is when someone else tells you that you can. your subject to random room searches and you dont get to pick when the lights go out. after a wile it gets bad.

my father has spent 7 years in prison. and he told me that it really wasn't very bad. he was able to get his GED while serving time and take a few available college courses that were offered
no a days their are many programs available for inmates.. although he serves his time in mostly smaller prisons with only a few thousand inmates.. larger prisons do have more violence and can be dangerous.

confine yourself into a economy style apartment thats full of drug dealers and prostitutes and force yourself to sit there for a week without leaving the room and just listen, you'll have an idea of what prison feels like as far as what surrounds you.

BEING IN PRISON JUST TURNS YOU INTO A BIGGER CRIMINAL BECAUSE ALL YOU LEARN FROM THE REAL CRIMINALS IS HOW TO COMMIT CRIMES. THAT'S WHY WHEN THEY LEAVE PRISON, YOU'LL HEAR THEM SAY TO OTHERS SEE YOU NEXT WEEK, MONTH OR YEAR. BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HAVE PLANS ON WHAT NEXT CRIME THEY'RE HEADED FOR. ON THE OTHER HAND, YOU BECOME EXCESSIVELY CREATIVE.
