The swamps I have been in have Mosquitoes on you all day/night. There is not any relief because of daylight hours.

I think mosquitoes may hide somewhat during the day as a defense of being eaten by predators.

Great question.

Mosquitoes around my place are non union, so they are out buzzing and annoying 24/7 from spring to fall.
The union Mosquitoes get three weeks of vacation time and have to take a 15 minute break every hour.

Depends on the mosquitoes. Culex Quinx likes to hang around in shady, sheltered areas.

Aedes tends just to try to find a nice place under your shirt.
