You must first have a definition of what is central to Christianity.
First, that Jesus is your personal savior.
Second, that he is fully God and fully man.
If a group meets those two tests, I would include them.
I think they meet the first, I am not sure of the second, but I think so.
If you follow this procedure by adding what you will to the list, you can make reasonable decisions about any group.

Yes. We believe the only way to salvation is through Christ Jesus. He died for our sins, offering himself as a ransom for all mankind. He is the ONLY intermediary between humans and Jehovah God.

John 3:36: “He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.”

Heb. 5:9: “After he [Jesus Christ] had been made perfect he became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him.”

We believe Jesus was the Son of God, NOT Jehovah himself.
We do not believe the man made doctrine of the trinity, but, guess what, when I was a lutheran I didn't believe in the trinity either. It wasn't until years after I left the lutheran org that they suddenly addopted the trinity dogma.

Yes Jehovah Witnesses are christian. we worship Jehovah God and follow Jesus Christ command at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. Jesus never said he was God. he prayed to his Father in the heaven. Jesus Christ said he cannot do anything without the Father.

i like it whilst people who have not have been given any concept answer questions. Jesus became right into a witness for Jehovah and Jehovah's Witnesses evaluate themselves Christians, yet extra heavily shaped after the 1st century Christians in the previous all the Apostles died. before everything, witnesses have been referred to as Bible pupils and a few stated them as Russellites. Witnesses observed the call Jehovah's Witnesses interior the 1931. Russell initially did no longer choose them named different than to easily be referred to as Bible pupils. yet they did ultimately undertake the call using scriptures like Isaih 40 3:12 ""you're my Witnesses" says the Lord" in case you have ever taken the time to hearken to a JW or flow to a gathering, Jesus is a customary concentration. God appointed Jesus to truly sit down in His stead ("place" for you youthful ones). Jesus in basic terms want became into to do his Father's will which he performed so completely that he advised his followers at 1Peter 2:3, "He that hath seen me hath seen the daddy". There are different scriptures that let us know that noone can see God and stay, so Jesus became into telling them that his strikes, character, ideals, etc replicate those of Jehovah. because Jesus gave his life to purchase lower back what Adam lost, he became "Savior" to many. That became into God's will. What with regards to the saying of God's call. some Witnesses call God by using Yahweh and there are different suitable translations. If i'm referred to as Jose as a substitute of Joseph by using my mexican acquaintances, i do no longer disown them. If Jehovah isn't the acceptable translation, i'm specific whilst the time comes the God of love will let us know fairly than ruin us. do no longer a number of y'all experience stupid now.

To be a Christian, you have to be a follower of Christ and follow his example, for instance preaching the good news of Gods kingdom. (Matthew 24:14) Jesus always gave praise to his Father Jehovah. So Yes they are Christian because they do these and other things Christ instructed then to do.

A lot of what they say is very similar. But some of the core beliefs are different, the biggest one being that for Jehovah's Witnesses only a certain number of people are going to be saved, and so you have to earn salvation through good works, whereas traditional Christian doctrine says that you can't earn it. As a result most Christian groups think of JW as a separate religion. They both use the Bible, but with different interpretations of some of the scriptures.

Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is the Messiah and it is only by means of him that we can obtain everlasting life. They follow the whole bible, and believe it is the word of God. They do not base their beliefs on traditions or doctrines of men, but solely on the bible.

Yes, of course.

Jehovah's Witnesses are relatively unique among self-described Christians in that they understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

No, they are not Christians, they are a cult. They do not believe Jesus is God. They do not believe the Holy Spirit is God. They believe Jesus was the angel Michael and the Holy Spirit is an impersonal force. They believe you have to be a Jehovah's Witness to be saved. God is one in the persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They do not believe this.

Yes, of course it is. It took the early church 300 years to sort out the nature of Jesus and finally settle on the Trinity theory.

JWs are Christians. the main difference is that they don't believe in the Trinity. They stick with the "One God" approach of the Old Testament.. JWs both see Jesus as the Messiah but not as God.
