Hell, Schmell. Does it scare you?

I was very scared of it when I was a kid. They would tell me all kinds of stories about hell and make me cry.

I dont believe in it now.

Man, THIS IS HELL.

I imagine that hell has a whole different meaning once one gets there. Bet ya, on that. Of course hell scares me which is why a straight arrow I am.

No, I think universal guilt and sinning are the "best" the authors came up with. They may lead you to hell but it makes you feel like crap while you are living on earth.
Its too bad the Vatican got done with paying off your sins.

It seems to be very effective. Many christians are more afraid of going to hell than anything else.

When you dont realise heaven in real time, you will end up in hell. The author should also show the alternative of achieving heaven in this very life.

Fictional made-up places do not scare me. It was only created as a way to keep people in line, usually uneducated people.

no it doesnt. hell is a thoery that contradicts itself. god will send you there if you are naughty. but jesus said go forgives us all so therefore we must all go to heaven??

if it is real atleast it will be hot, better than british weather, send me there

Actually, it's the lake of fire, not hell. You're not reading your bible! And to think I'm given a choice between spending eternity with God in absolute peace or eternity in the lake of fire with satan in absolute agony ... I'm going with God. Yeah, the lake of fire scares me.

I suppose they had to think up something really bad and nasty to make the gullible and easily influenced conform.
