I have a feeling this is probably something for the Religion forum as you probably are thinking of the use of numbers symbolically like in the Book of Revelation. According to Genesis God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Therefore 7 is a number that meant completion and was something good.
The number 6 was seen as something that fell short of completion and was evil. Therefore 666 had to be something very evil. When Revelation was written the Christian community was under severe persecution and it was important to use symbols so Roman officials would not understand.
The same is true of the Book of Daniel. The Hebrew people were under severe persecution in Babylon. It was to give them hope that despite what they were going through, God would triumph and they would be freed. But they didn't want Nebuchanazzar to understand.
Both were books of hope showing eventual triumph over evil. Now whether they had any eschatalogical meaning only God knows.
In the new testament, Jesus says you are to forgive your brother seventy times seven which means you are always to forgive your brother. Doesn't mean you keep a record and then when he offends you for the 491st time (Heaven forbid) that you can say, "Aha! I don't have to forgive him any more."
Additional info: The number 12 is also a good symbolic number since there were 12 tribes of Israel. 12 x 12 is 144. The 144,000 people no doubt can mean zillions of people.

Numbers do not have intrinsic meaning.
There is no cosmic influence exerted by numbers.
Numbers do not represent anything except an abstract definition of quantity.
Mathematics is the most versatile and powerful tool invented by Man.
Numerology is one of the stupidest most misinformed ideas invented by Man.
Numerology is a superstition. Like all superstition, numerology will not help you in any way. It only serves as a distraction at best. At worst, it can lead to incredibly poor reasoning and bad decisions.
Numbers do not have meaning except when they are intelligently applied through mathematics.
When people look for cosmic relationships by arbitrarily assigning numerical values to names, they delude themselves. Please do not be a victim of such delusion.
Instead, focus on using numbers as they were intended; as a tool. That way, you can avoid becoming a "tool" yourself.
