This happened to me a couple of months back, I was in Bible study, I had just been Baptised a few weeks before and as the Minister was speaking, I had this urge to take off all my clothes and run around the Church screaming Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! It was something that I just felt led to do? I was fighting the idea and then told my home cell leader what God was "telling" me to do. She said no I should rather leave it. Now I feel maybe I should have listened as God would of seen my obedience to his word? What would you have done... I was definately led by the Spirit.

I know it sounds hectic but I have to share and get your thoughts.

Bless You!

Yes! You should do what the voice said. You are lucky that all you were asked to do was run around naked. Abraham was asked to kill his son. He was going to do it too out of faith and has been praised for it for thousands of years! Becoming a leading figure in all three of the major religions of the world today.

Of course had he done his today he would have been put away for attempted murder and permanently hospitalized for listening to the voices in his head.

It sounds to me like you believe what they teach in the Church and the people teaching you do not.

No offence. But I do not believe you were being led by the spirit. Why do I know this? Because I know my Bible and My God. He would never tell anyone to do such things. That is against everything the Bible teaches. God is a modest God. You said you have been recently baptised. Praise God. Because of your recent faith, the devil will work hard on you. He can inspire people just as well as God can. Even though you were in church the devil can get control of your mind. You must have had an open door to him for some reason in order for him to get in. The devil can not get in unless you let him. Since you are a "baby Christian" he will try deperately to get to you.

The only thing you can do is to pray and know your Bible very well. Once you know your Bible God's will will become easier for you to understand, and it will become easier for you to tell the difference between God's voice and Satan's voice. God is a God of love, peace, humility, and respect. What you were thinking of doing is not a sign of respect or of God.

Sorry, hope this isn't to harsh. I have been a Christian all my life. I can clearly see this as an act of the devil trying to devert you from God.

Thank God you did not do it. No that is not God telling you to take of your clothes and run around the church. You will argue it is. You want to believe it is but you will only make the matter worse. You could have done it , but you did'nt. If it is led by the Spirit of the lord you cannot stop or resist it . Get over it and walk the talk.

How do you know you were led by the Holy Spirit?

Does what you wanted to do, align with the God's Word or not?

What you describe violates at least a couple of verses in the Bible and thus you were not led by the Holy Spirit.

That was not God but an evil spirit posing to be the Holy spirit. You should read your bible more often and ask God to help you to discern whether it is God or an evil spirit. Always remember that God will never do something like that or tell you to sin even if it seems like a small sin and if you feel that feeling again be sure that it is a demon trying to cause you to sin.

If you have a problem with impulsive behaviors, I'd say that was it.
There's no way God is going to tell someone to do this. It either came from your own mind, or from satan.
Our behaviors should line up with scripture. Behaviors that go against scripture are clearly not ones we should have.
What would the purposse have been, anyway?
I recall about a dozen years ago, some man started shooting people on a ferry, claiming God told him to do it.
He was so obviously not listening to God.

Somewhere in the Bible, David (one favored by God) was outdoors and stripped to his drawers and danced. His wife and many others thought he was crazy but I don't see anything wrong with it if you are doing it in the spirit of worship. However, many people would take great offense (just like in David's day) and you might even be arrested. If you truly feel God wants you to do it, then by all means, do...but live with the consequenses too...without whining, and always praising God.throughout your ordeal. You'll know soon enough if it was the right thing to do. I certainly would not strip completely.

When a born-once more, Bible-believing Christian elements to Scripture that demonstrates Jesus is God, THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO PROVE THAT JESUS IS GOD THE FATHER. Born-once more Christians suppose that the Father and the Son are 2 SEPARATE and DISTINCT PERSONS. The arguments provided right here aren't arguments in opposition to the Trinity however in opposition to an age-historical heresy known as modalism which teaches that the Father and Son are one and the equal character. Trinitarians additionally reject this view. Christians don't attempt to end up that Jesus is God the Father (they don’t suppose this), however that Jesus possesses the NATURE of deity (that's, Jesus has a divine nature). This is a simply a synonym for God. This yr, the Watchtower Society released a journal AGREEING with that role. In the April one million, 2009, dilemma of The Watchtower, on web page 19, they state: “If we suppose Jesus and realize the apparent educating of the Bible, we will be able to recognize him because the DIVINE Son of God that he's.” According to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament phrases, the phrase DIVINE (that's translated from the Greek phrase “theios”) “is used of the vigor of God, two Pet. one million:three, and of His nature, ver. four, in each and every location, as that which proceeds from Himself. In Acts 17:29 it's used as a noun with the sure article, to indicate “the GODHEAD,” the DEITY (i.e. THE ONE TRUE GOD). This phrase, rather of theos, used to be purposely utilized by the Apostle in talking to Greeks on Mars Hill, as according to Greek utilization.” Jehovah’s Witnesses were taught (and suppose) that the phrase God (with a capital “G) is reserved just for the Father. Watchtower literature teaches God = the Father on my own = Jehovah. So, while a Christian says that Jesus is God, within the brain of a JW, they believe we're looking to say that Jesus is the Father, which we aren't announcing. So while a JW says that Jesus Christ isn't God within the feel that Jesus isn't the equal character as God the Father, WE AGREE that Jesus Christ isn't God the Father. However, while a JW says that Jesus Christ isn't God within the feel that Jesus isn't Deity or that He does now not real and intrinsically own the divine nature, that's heresy. Because to suppose and train that Jesus isn't Deity or does now not own the divine nature is to reject, forget about or outright near your eyes to MULTITUDES of Scriptures. According to John, “And we all know that the Son of God has come and has given us an expertise that we might understand Him who is correct; and we're in Him who is correct, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the actual God and everlasting existence” (1John five:20). Concerning whether or not Jesus Christ is God (capital G) because the Bible and the Scriptures use the phrase there's no doubt (see, for illustration: Gen 19:24; Ps forty five:7; Isa 7:14; nine:6; Jer 23:five,6; Zech two:10-three:two; 12:10; Matt one million:22,23; John one million:one million; five:18; 20:28; Acts 20:28; Rom eight:nine; nine:five; Phil two:five-nine; Col two:nine; 1Tim three:sixteen; Titus two:thirteen; Heb one million:three, eight, nine; 2Pet one million:one million; 1John five:20). We as Christians aren't asking the JWs to suppose some thing opposite to Scripture; we could simply attempt to convince you to suppose ALL the Scriptures and now not simply those that look to consider you. And we could like that you simply use the name "God" because the Scriptures do. If the apostles name Him God and He himself claimed to be so, are you announcing they're fallacious as good as we? We who've been born of the Spirit of God invite you to obtain the Spirit of Christ into your center and end up a baby of God. We wish you to understand what it's to be within the New Covenant and feature Jesus Christ as your individual Mediator and so much of all to have Him as your Lord. To obey Him in each second of your existence and now not the principles and rules of a faith that constantly alterations its stance on predominant doctrinal disorders affecting peoples very lives. Christians aren't looking to present you a faith or one other institution in location of the WT. What we present you is a individual courting with the One who mentioned within the first bankruptcy of the Revelation: eight) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who's and who used to be and who's to return, the Almighty..." eleven) "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last…" 12) Then I grew to become to peer the voice that spoke with me. And having grew to become I noticed seven golden lampstands, thirteen) and in the course of the seven lampstands One just like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment all the way down to the toes and girded approximately the chest with a golden band.
