What do you think from this 6 minute video that gets to the point but is hilarious. He's not preaching, he's just stating what he knows, and he makes people laugh while he's at it. What do you think of this?

1. I LOVE ALI! Okay, I mean he's just really funny. I love the "fisibillilah discount" episode. And the one about dating.

2. And yes, I agree. I don't think I would have learned the difference just living in the US - I didn't figure out the culture/Islam divide, or even its existence, until I went to Morocco.

TO RED DRAGON:

Whatever. Hadith IS tradition. Hadith is not the Qur'an, and Shari'a is not the Qur'an. If it's not the word of God, I won't accept it.

Not to mention that Saudis, while they may not commit crimes for fear of the law in their own country, are notorious for doing disgusting things in other countries. They come to Morocco and beat up prostitutes, go to bars, take second or third wives from here. I'm sorry, but I've seen it with my own eyes. There's nothing superior about Saudi Arabia.

Of course there's a mix, which is totally wrong. I have been living in a Muslim country all my life, but yet people mix Islam with culture (traditions). The main problems in my view also are governemnts. There's only one country which I can remember that puts it's laws according to the Shariaáh. That's Saudi Arabia. Wehere else does the theif's hands get chopped off? Where else is alchohol banned? Where else is a murderer executed? Where else ..... etc. Allah has put these rules for a reason, and Muhammad (PBUH) has taught us these rules for a reason.

I did a research when I was in high school comparing laws of the US & Saudi Arabia. I got information from a site that in the US, a crime is committed every 8 seconds, while in Saudi it is once a day or even less. Why doesnt anyone think why? If you think you can steal or murder someone and get away with it, then you will do it? Or if knowing that taking revenge will only keep you in prison for some years, you might think it is worth it. Well, not in Islam. Some people accuse Islamic Shariaáh of being strict & harsh. Well, I agree, but this is what human beings need to live peacefully amongst each other.

I cant watch the video(will try at home later) but I can answer the question. The reason we have so many "different" kinds of Islam is because different cultures interpret and practice Islam in a way that conforms to their all ready deep seated cultural ideals. There is not one single Islamic country today that can say that the govt practices true Islamic principles....not even Saudi...they have very strict segregation laws meanwhile there was very little segregation in the prophets day so where did that come from? Not to mention the ban on women driving cause it might cause fitna to occur....give me a break....anyhow....I have to agree with the first posters remark....

thank God I learned Islam from the Quran first....

nicely, faster or later some cultural effects from different worldwide places pass slowly in and alter the way human beings behave. Or, somethings are saved because of custom. My city is could desire to have been an Islamic city yet notably much all the adult males save mustaches and shaved their beards this is precisely the choice of what the prophet (pbuh) mentioned. that's genuine that a rustic like Saudi Arabia could be working in the direction of Islam greater desirable than different worldwide places do, regardless of the shown fact that; this does not unavoidably mean that it practices it a hundred%. you may learn Islam from the two regular components of it, the Qur'an, and the actual Ahadith. Any very own opinion which persons provide are no longer unavoidably genuine. If commentaries of the Qur'an did no longer furnish actual Ahadith and narrations to help their commentaries, they does not be worth something. whilst somebody tells you something, ask them to furnish you evidence. And the evidence greater sensible be a precise evidence somewhat than something like "nicely, that student mentioned so...".

Yes, There is so much mix of culture. That's the reasons non-muslims finds most often confusing and difficult to find the truth from false.

'Thank God that I Studied Holy Quran before I studied Muslims'... I read Yusuf Islam, previouslt Cat stevens said these words.
