I can tell you know that you are not a popular person. I know this as i work with a person so like the way you have described yourself, that i'm actually wondering is "this my colleague'. I work directly with this person, with a group of about 12 passing by throughout the day. The remarks that the person in question makes to everyone breaks my heart, and they have confided in me about the hurt they have suffered due to the sarcasm. Unfortunately, only i know that said person suffers from low self esteem due to being undermined by a domineering partner, and suddenly finds a voice outside the home, with a disastrous result. I would not spread this about to the others due to fear and harassment from the bully. I think you have issues you need to address, asap, or you may find that this "being different" will be to your cost, and someday they may be a showdown which may actually see you crumble with disastrous results for your confidence.
