Suzi B:If you think heterosexual sex is safer than gay sex I can only say that for a woman lesbian sex is the safest of all ...so go to lesbianism if that is the criteria for how you choose your sexual activity.

MamaBear: Adultery, bestiality, theft, rape, and slander. We all recognise the harm caused by these actions, but consenting homosexual relationships harm who and how...you didn't seem to say did you?

I would like to see the unedited version. However, it's a lot of what I tell people when I come out to them for the first time. They seem kinda shocked that I throw that stuff at them because there's never a really good argument behind their irrationality.
You people really need to come up with something new besides the whole "Adam and Steve" joke. It makes you seem really small, and generally stupid. I'll make you a deal...you don't have to see what I do in my bedroom, as you long as you keep your homophobia in yours. Sad part is that you're the one losing out.
All in all, it would be really nice if more people would do two things.
1) Look at the whole issue from his point of view.
2) Realize that the only choice I had about being gay was whether I came out, or not.

That was worth viewing. I agree that homophobes do put a spin on thier words and are very hypocritical as he pointed out. There is nothing immoral about bieng gay as it's natural and not hurting people.
I do think it's stupid that people keep bringing up murder, rape and peados as these are all evil and non-consensual so there is no comparison
It's also stupid arguing from a religious view as the bible does say slavery is acceptable plus people used to use the bible to support racism
Edit: Is it immoral for straights to not be able to rmake babies? Then why is that an issue?

There is nothing morally wrong with being gay. Personally it does not bother me in the least. The only thing that remotely bothers me is when gays try to make out in front of me or especially children. Which, has only happened once in my life. Then again I don't think that strait people should go around making out in front of people and children. All the gay women and men I have ever known never bothered me. They respected me as I did them. It's not like someone else can force their sexuality on you so what does it really matter? Religion is the only problem with homosexuality but I prefer to loose the religion than the gays. It's your thang do what you wanna do.

The youtube presentation wouldn't work on my computer, so I can't respond to it. Sorry!
Just responding to your basic question, though, is simple. I'm working from the Judeo/Christian teaching on the subject, so I don't "make up" the rules. God does.
Basically, Jews and Christians reject homosexuality as morally wrong because God declared it to be morally wrong a LOOOOOOOONNNNNGGG time ago. The prohibitions against this are found in the Laws of Moses, which were given by revelation (DIRECTLY from GOD to Moses); they are not something Moses made up. For some reason, many people seek to whitewash homosexuality as a moral issue, when they don't reject the rest of the moral law (like prohibitions against adultery, rape, incest, theft, murder, lying, slander, bestiality, etc). I find that, and the tactics used in the arguements, strange.
Ultimately, God is the One who decides what action, thought, motive, word, deed, etc. is morally acceptable or unacceptable. The buck stops there, so to speak. To ask "why is "X" morally wrong?" is like asking "Why is 12 inches considered a foot: who says so?". You are asking for the authority behind the decision on "right" and "wrong", and the ultimate answer is always "God" (in the case of the ruler, the authority rests in the Office of Weights and Measures).
As a related issue, you may be interested in the history associated with the law (just like you could be interested in the formation of a 12 inch ruler). That, however, is a separate question.
Why, and how, can something that feels SO RIGHT be SO WRONG? That is another age-old question, and not limited to people struggling with the homosexuality issue. Anybody who faces serious temptation has to deal with that issue, no matter what they struggle with! However, we don't see a lot of people lobbying for the moralization of adultery, bestiality, theft, rape, and slander. Why? Because the harm caused by these actions is immediately visible. ("Murder" originally made that anti-lobbying list, until I remembered the pro-abortion and medically-assisted suicide lobbyists.)

i didnt watch the link , but i've NEVER been able to see why homosexuality is labeled as 'wrong'. i think it came around in the days of rennaisance (cultural change) when they went back to being conservative and someone came up with the grand idea that sodomy was wrong so guy/guy sex= bad so therefor girl/girl sex must be bad as well.
*shrug* i'm heteroflexible at best, but i wish everyone could just get along regardless of lifestyles like this.

Nothing whatsoever. It is a perfectly normal part of human sexuality. Some of the most moral people I know are homosexual.

the reason god flooded the earth and made noah build his ark, was because everyone was marrying and having sex with the oppisite gender. It got so drastic that humans would have stopped reproducing if it continued. So he killed them all and started over.
