Soul= Hebrew word NEPHESH= that which breathes.

If animals can speak human language then we might be able to find out.
In many religions, it is said that wicked souls will be judged according to the bad things they did during lifetime and depends on how bad the things they did, they will either be doomed in hell forever or reincarnate as animals to repent their sin.
For the moment, doing good deeds is the only way to ensure that one can be rewarded in the afterlife.

Well, cats. Yeah. I can believe that. But other animals no. And especially dogs. Dogs are all love and happiness, unless some human monster abuses them and distorts their personality. Animals are generally less evil than humans, so I can't go with your theory.
P.S. That person who pointed out that humans ARE animals get's my best answer vote...

Animals and humans have souls and the souls die when we do. A Christians spirit is resurrected to a spiritual, glorified body when Christ returns. Your answer is no.

No, I think it's crazy to assume animals are beneath us and only the wicked spend their lives as an animal...because technically, we ARE a species of animal...

i don't believe so. based on my christian beliefs, unless they ask for forgiveness and accept christ as their lord and savior then they would go to hell... plus, there's no way my two babies(dogs) were ever wicked! lol
