I recently saw a group of veterans who served in the war in Iraq (as well as Gulf war 1, Vietnam & Korea) who were condemning the war in Iraq, and ridiculing Bush's assinine policies...

Of course many Bible clutching FOX NEWS watching right wing Republican fascists attack the patriotism of any citizen who question the war (unless it's a Republican who questions the war..apparently THAT's okay....)
The soldiers who speak out against the war are true heroes- above all, they realize the greatest freedom we have is freedom of speech..
What do you think of the vets who speak out against the war and Bush? I think they are showing their patriotism by speaking out..

And for the record I served of 8 years in the US Navy back in the 1980s...
I never saw wartime, but I am very vocal in my opposition to this war, and I voice hatred and contempt for the Nazi GW Bush

In every war you are going to have a small minority of veterans who oppose it.

In fact - the honesty of you and those with your political opinions is demonstrated when you fail to mention just how small this percentage is.

If they are no longer in the military then I don't have a problem with it. As you said, freedom of speech is one of the greatest freedoms, and they helped defend that right. I may not agree with them, but, their rights should be respected. However, if they are still in the military, I think they should just wait until they get out until they start second guessing their commander in chief. When I was in the Army, there were certain unwritten rules a soldier was expected to follow. Publicly speaking out against your superior would be one of those rules. Military life is much different than civilian life. If a co-worker goes around saying what a jerk the boss is, it's really no big deal. If a fellow soldier, who other soldiers are depending on to cover their backs, is out in the open condemning higher ranking people then it lowers the level of trust that his fellow soldiers have in him or her. At least that's the way it was twenty years ago, when I was in. Might be different now, but I would hope not.

I listened to Rush that day and heard him today. He was talking to a caller who referred to soldiers who support the war as "real soldiers". The caller was talking about the habit of the press to find only soldiers that are against the war. Rush referred to a man who called himself a Ranger and Green Beret as a phony soldier and the few others like him that have lied to the press. The man was kicked out of the Army before he left recruit training. He was none of the above. For more information check out "The Winter Soldier" by the John Kerry group. There is a "soldier" wearing what could be described as a drum major uniform that looks something like a marine uniform. In one picture he has no legs and is an wheel chair, in another picture this same man is striding up the stairs to the capital building with healthy legs!!! No aids, no cane, no crutches! The left has created phony soldiers to further their agenda now and in the 70s. To end; Rush Limbaugh has not called anyone but the frauds phony soldiers. Excite I don't think you understand the meaning of that word fascists.

Every veteran has my respect, whether he is for or against any War. Only in the United States can you hate the president and burn the flag at the same time. (It's hard to stick to your guns, so I admire Bush for that)
The unpredictability of the enemy is the one thing that would work for us, if we used it. Covert operations all the way!

They have proved their patriotism by going to war and not runing out on the army. When they have left the army who better to speak on the subject.

I could not have answered your question better than retired armyguy.

Each war has protest groups willing to trot out veterans ans so called veterans who will protest against the war.

You are just making the facts fit your leftist rant.
