With most airlines, check-in opens two hours before the flight; normally , it's OK to arrive an hour before-but NOT AT THE MOMENT. Because of the massively increase security checks, it can now take you an hour to get through security once you've checked in, so you really need the two hours. This is certainly the case at Stanstead and Heathrow, but I wouldn't take a chance at an UK airport, as the security measures are much the same everywhere.

Check with a travel agent who should have up-to-date information.
A couple of weeks ago I heard that one airport had been having some problems and 4-hours was the time given.
It is usually 2 hours for normal flights, but a friend went to Israel as few weeks ago and El Al wanted a 3-hour check in time.

No 1. Are u flying within the UK: 45 mins until closure of check-in.
No.2 Flying within Europe: 1-1:30 HOURS before check-in closure.
No. 3: Flying out of Europe: 1-2 HOURS (Depending on the airline) before check-in closes.

Depends where you are flying to, I always arrange to be at the 90 minutes before if travelling on a business trip within the UK.

120 minutes (2 Hours) for Europe

180 Minutes (3 Hours) for long haul Journeys.

Hope that helps

Check in desks will open anything up to 3 hours before the flight and close 40 minutes before the flight. Check with airline to determine what the check-in times are.

Most low-cost airlines open check in 2 hours before the flight, with queues forming before then at the desks, and close it 45 mins before the flight. Try and get there at least an hour and a half before.
