I think I might have overdosed, but I took it about 3 1/2 hours ago and I was wondering if I were safe.

I wasn't trying to commit suicide or anything.. and I wasn't experiencing any pain.. I just wanted to see what would happen.. I looked up the Maximum dosages on wiki before I took it to prevent overdosing... I got 8000mg (within 24 hours) for aspirin and 1200mg (within 24 hours) for ibuprofen... I guess it wasn't the brightest thing I've ever done, but whatever.

Will my blood thicken eventually on its own? If so, how long will it take? If not, what would I have to do to get it back to normal?

Like the others have said you need to go to the doctor or call poison control. That much aspirin and ibuprofen will be hard on the stomach, it won't do your kidneys any good either and could cause fluid retention and increased blood pressure.
If you are suicidal, please seek medical help.

The aspirin/motrin (Ibuprofen) "thin" the blood by actually incapacitating the platelets so they can not form a clot basis. The effect lasts 3 to 5 days. Vomiting that long out has done nothing to help--the drugs are in your system. Taking overdoses of drugs to see what happens is really a super bad idea--you really could kill yourself.
The National Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) can be called from anywhere in the United States. This national hotline number will let you talk to experts in poisoning. They will give you further instructions.
This is a free and confidential service. All local poison control centers in the U.S. use this national number. You should call if you have any questions about poisoning or poison prevention. It does NOT need to be an emergency. You can call for any reason, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Take the container with you to the hospital, if possible.

Symptoms of acute overdose may include:
Upset stomach and stomach pain
Nausea
Vomiting -- may cause an ulcer or irritation of the stomach known as gastritis
Symptoms of chronic overdose may include:
Fatigue
Slight fever
Confusion
Collapse
Rapid heart beat
Uncontrollable rapid breathing
Large overdoses may also cause:
Ringing in the ears
Tempoary deafness
Hyperactivity
Dizziness
Drowsiness
Hyperactivity
Seizures
Coma
Taking more than 150mg/kg of aspirin can have serious and even deadly results if untreated. For a small adult, that's roughly equal to taking 20 tablets containing 325mg aspirin. Much lower levels can affect children.
If treatment is delayed or the overdose is large enough, symptoms will continue to get worse. Breathing becomes extremely fast or may stop. Seizures, high fevers, or death may occur.
How well you do depends greatly on how much aspirin your body has absorbed -- and how much is flowing through your blood. If you take a large amount of aspirin but come quickly to the emergency room, treatments may help keep your blood levels of aspirin very low. If you do not get to the emergency room fast enough, the level of aspirin in your blood can become dangerously high.

Yes you have overdosed. Not enough to die, I hope, but enough to have serious problems in your stomach and other organs. I am afraid this may show symptoms much later, even after 8 hours. Go to a hospital so that they can check you and help.
And yes, first throwing up and then eating some french toast or pasta may help your stomach. You probably must take some anti-acidic stomach medication too, such as Losec. It doesn't matter if the medicines are not in your stomach any more, they are in your blood and this causes your stomach to produce more acid.

I'll bet you've got a fabulous stomach ache..... I'd start with eating something, because that much NSAID (the class of drug) can cause a GI bleed, and eating will help to lessen the effects of the drug on your stomach. Also, assuming that this wasn't an attempt at end of life and just trying to do away with serious pain, the absolute upper limit for Motrin is 3200 mg/day, with 800 mg allowed every 6 hours, and go easy on the aspirin. These both thin your blood and are irritating to the GI, so if you see bright red blood in your stool call someone.

you probably didn't overdose, but your blood is so thin that if you get a paper cut you will probably bleed to death. Why would you take so much aspirin? Don't drink any alcohol, your liver will fail. Your blood will go back to normal when the aspirin wears off.
Sorry it's early, i was confusing ibupfofin with acetomenophen (tylenol), your liver should be okay
Large doses of aspirin (more than 1000mg) are perscribed with a buffer. Over the counter aspirin has no buffer, thus your stomach lining is being eaten, thats why your throwing up. You may be sick to your stomach for a while.
just call the poison control hotline in your phonebook and ask them what to do.

You think? How much is an overdose (how much greatly affects how quickly you feel the effects)? You should be experiencing symptoms by now if you did overdose yourself, even by the smallest amount.
The 1000 MG of ibuprophen won't do anything, it's the aspirin that's getting to you. Call for emergency services.

Why? That is an absurd dosage, why would you take this much?
Call poison control, then a sucide hotline.
You could be frying your stomach lining. Its not a bright thing you did.
Stomach Pain would be the first symptom. If you have this call poison control.

I am new here and do not know you but you need to go to an E.R. right away. I know you vomited but you need your blood cell count checked and your liver enzymes done. You may have done irreversible liver damage with the Ibuprofen.
Please go get checked out. I don't know why you did this but it is not funny.
