Agree or disagree.
1. Man can choose not to sin, but he chose to sin.
2. God provided, in Christ, a way to overcome judgement.
3. People who reject that sacrifice have made a choice.
And as the rock group rush once said----"If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice."

X-theist your insecurity is manifested daily by your appearance on a site concerning religion and spirituality. I do not believe in mythology and am never on a site concerning mythology.
You are a walking oxymoron.

Lessgov-----so since God did not create man with the full capability to resist sin---that makes God guilty. That really sounds dumb--God gave you free will so you could exercise your right to accept or reject---just as you are rejecting right now.

Get a clue-----Christians dont go around murdering people----although there are many who murder Christians--case in point--Jesus Christ. You are worried about people getting off the hook, when you reject the only means you have of doing the same. How smart is that?

Namelevran--God created heaven----creatures made the decision to sin---and hell was a consequence of a decision to oppose God----just like the decision you have made-----you are part in the creation of hell. If you make your bed------lie in it. But God is not willing that any should perish--and provided you a sacrifice which you vehemently reject. Whose fault is that?

ahh look at the crop of atheists we have here tonight....
the natural man is an enemy to God!
most of the answers I have read don't utilize logic and reasoning...doubt takes nothing to say for there is no logic in doubt.... prove that we are wrong! you can't....
like wise we can't prove to you we are right either God must prove him self. we utilize some thing we call hope and faith, we practise good works and we are quite vocal about the spiritual pay back we receive...this spiritual pay back is our proof to our selves that we are on the right path unless you attempt the great test you will not know for your self...

The stark contrast.
We don't like to admit it, but the Bible teaches that the only alternative to Heaven is a place called Hell. Sometimes we use the word unthinkingly, but it is important to know what it means, so we do not go there.
Hell is for unforgiven sinners.
Heaven and Hell have two things in common:
first, they both last forever, and secondly, no will there will ever leave or be able to leave.
But there are two big differences between Heaven and Hell,
Heaven will be loved while Hell will be hated by those present there, and second, Heaven is a place of everlasting blessing while Hell is a place of everlasting punishment.

All of this over an apple and a talking snake. Makes a lot
of sense. Oh, and one person dies so it's a sacrifice to
all of humanity which if accepted saves them from a hell
that this perfect God has nothing to do with. Then you can
eat some bread and wine while pretending it's flesh and blood.
It's a lot like children on a playground making up rules as
they go.
There's no reason to believe in any of this other than to
live your own life worrying about constantly "sinning". It's
the only reason anyone believes any of it. Also, all of the
sins just happen to have been those things governments don't
or didn't want you to do for their various reasons.

You're pathetic. So you can go around and murder anyone you like, and then you say, "i believe in Jesus, therefore i will go to heaven". Compared to a very rightgeous buddhist that was born before Jesus was born. This buddhist had no knowledge about the christian faith because the missionaries hadn't been in China yet. This buddhist man will go to hell for not believing in Jesus???!!! You christians are really have a brain of a peanut. You could just dispose of your brains rather, cause you don't use it anyway. If the bible says that you must jump over a cliff in order to be saved, you would do that

What interesting knots religious people tie themselves into to explain the irrational. Apart from the glaringly obvious that if god made everything then she must have made hell; she could have chosen not to, then neither she or I could stand accused of despatching anyone to such a place.
Did I choose to have 'original sin'? If so, I must have made that decision in the womb. Overcoming judgement and rejecting sacrifice, could I be judged on something that's only written in a book that's riddled with inconsistencies?
It would never stand up in court!

God created man without the full ability to resist temptation. Otherwise he would have done so. God punished mankind because they were imperfect the way he created them. God allows man to give birth to children that will perish from the diseases that God has created. You will die from either old age, murder, accident, or disease. All of which God created or made possible. God therefore created you only to punish you then murder you. He also created a son that he allowed to be killed on a cross. He allowed him to die slowly with a lot of horrific pain. If you are willing to worship his son you may enter God's heaven. Where you will worship the one responsible for your very murder, your children's murder, and everyone else that you loved.
I would rather burn in God's hell than to submit and worship him and his evil deeds. Regardless I do not believe in any God nor do I think a God exist at least as we know it. I am better than the God that all bible's speak of. Therefore he should submit to me because I am not an evil person. I merely make mistakes. Which makes me a far better creature than him. Again I'm an atheist and you can keep your evil God. Enjoy

Sorry. God made us knowing how we would be. He choose only to make people he knew would sin. He chose to punish us for being exactly how he chose to make us.
Sure theoretically people can choose not to sin, but god decided not to make anyone who would make that choice ( all have sinned, etc).
Every person who sufferes does so simply becuase god chosse to create a person who would suffer.

We do have free will. People say to me that if God chose them in eternity past then they will go to heaven and if God didn't choose them then they must, of necessity, go to hell. I simply say to them that they can accept Christ into their hearts right where they stand and then follow Him and they will find out that they were one of the one's God chose in eternity past. They say "what if I choose not to accept Christ and follow Him"? I simply say to them "well then, maybe you were one of the ones He didn't choose". We have free will. The choice is with us right now. Whatever we choose, we will find out that God already knew about it in eternity past. But we make the choice right now. Life is like a long hallway with doors that lead into rooms and signs above each door. One door says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". A person looks at that door and says "wonderful, if I go through this door I can have eternal life". So he goes through the door. Once he gets into the room he finds a big banquet hall with food on all the tables and each chair has a name on it. As he walks through the room, he finds a chair with his name on it. He's expected. He turns back and looks at the door he just came through and on the inside there is also a sign above the door. The sign says "chosen in eternity past". He made the choice to go through that door of his own free will when he was outside in the hall. Once he gets in, he finds out that God knew long ago how he would use his free will. That doesn't make it any less free. We choose, of our own free will, where we will spend eternity.

#1 goes against pretty much every iota of Christian doctrine.
#2 was a nice brief FOUR THOUSAND YEARS after 'Original Sin'. Cleanliness may be next to godliness, but timeliness certainly isn't.
#3. That 'sacrifice' being beatings by humans, a brief layover in hell, and eternal life at the right hand of the Father.
And as a good friend of mine says, every time we're in Canada, and the Canadian content requirements kick in, "Rush sucks."

There are definitely eventualities of sin. God did provide the atonement for all who will accept it. What more could a righteous God do?
Edit to A Who are his children? Those who reject God you would call his children? While we have the opportunity to become the children of God it is through the atonement.
