Does anyone know of a free program that will enable you to load up several pictures, approx 20, and play them as a slideshow on the desktop. I am running Windows XP. Thanks !

You may want to check out www.download.com. Do a search for photo montage or slideshow and a bunch of software will result in the search. Many are free and some offer free trials for 30 days.
If you ever want to get more into just viewing your photos and maybe want to get your slideshows onto a dvd, try www.instantimagers.com and www.photodex.com. I create slideshows all the time for my friends and family and put them onto a dvd. Playing music while your photos are playing just makes the photos more interesting. I hope that helps.

Use Microsoft Power Point for slideshows of pictures, clips and even videos.

Try Photobucket - you can also use their uploader tool for fast uploading of lots of piccies.
Want to add music - then try PhotoStory for Windows.
