Vista's hardware requirements are very steep, so on any existing hardware it runs slower than XP. And it's got the usual plethora of bugs and compatibility issues that you'd expect from a new operating system a few months after its release. It looks nicer and has a few cool features, but not enough to justify spending hard-earned $$ when XP works just fine...
Vista isn't a good buy, it's more like good bye :P

Hi Rejoy G :)
Some of Window's Vista's applications are not valid to older Windows versions so make sure that the ones you want to keep are compatible with both XP and Vista. Windows Vista looks and is much neater than older versions and has more features like a built-in camera. In the end the coice is yours.
Hope that helps...! :)

Vista on a NEW machine is probably OK, but make sure there are Vista drivers for your Printer, Scanner, Camera, etc. FIRST. These are what cause most migration problems. Not all applications work in Vista either.
Upgrading to Vista is not a good idea YET, wait until all the manufacturer's have Vista drivers in place.

I have heard complaint after complaint from many people regarding vista, plus my nephew has it on his computer and it uses a hell of alot of memory. He now wishes he was back using XP, so think really carefully before buying it. Cheers and good luck.

Vista is better than xp if you look at it when by a new computer, but upgrading is difficult, becuase of all the requirements made by vista. Also, most of the complaints are on the super-tight drm.

It's worth buying.
But you must see to the requirements the OS needs like RAM: 1GB (Successful), 512MB (Its ok, but can create Probs)
Go through the requirements.
