two other people have said this:
They do it because then the President can declare "martial law" wherein he can stop whatever rights and laws he so determines, including the one that says he cannot be in the office of President for more than 2 terms ... in effect placing himself in the seat of indefinite dictator. And I assure you, people saw this coming back when daddy Bush was in office ...
I know people who have joined militia groups in my area, and have heard of them in almost every other state. I'd say tread carefully, but the time for careful consideration is over. Stop letting these clowns pull the wool over We, the People's eyes.
I'm going to sound crazy when I say this......but in all honesty....I do beleive that is exactly why they are doing this......all they have to do then is declare Marshall Law.....and we are done. I firmly beleive that is what they are doing. Who's the worst enemy? The enemy or my government siding with them

Bush is just the figurehead. Don't get me wrong, I think he wants it as bad as any of them, but the real powers are behind the scene and YES the New World Order is on its way! I see there are a few pooh-poohers who've answered this question, a few people thinkin' you're a nut in here. But I first heard about the New World Order about 18 years ago and the first time I heard those words come out of a President's mouth (I'm guessing it was Daddy Bush, who still gets waaaaaaaaaaay more respect from me than his traitor son ever will)... I felt like someone was walking over my grave.
My prediction is that some "terrorist attack" will occur between the election and the inauguration date that will enable Bush to declare national martial law, and unless We the People fight back, America will die. And yes, make no mistake--Dubbya has sweeping new dictatorial powers at his disposal under the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive he signed into law on May 9th of this year.
For those of you who naysay, I ask you to ponder what the outcome of our country's history would have been if George Washington, Paul Revere, Ben Franklin, or John Hancock insisted that everyone who didn't support King George and Mother England was a traitor. I wonder if you naysayers realize that civilian militias were an intregal part of us winning the right to be our own sovereign nation all those years ago. Our country, our government, was formed by people who were very paranoid about what government could do! The deal with Bush is: it's not about his being Republican. If he was a Democrat I and many people like me would feel the same way. He's a snake in human skin, and he has not a whit of interest in serving the American people.

Ya know, vote_dummy, I almost thought you were baiting me by quoting my answer to another post. LOL
However, I do think this may be exactly what he wants. I didn't see anything on C-Span, most likely because I don't watch C-Span.
I'm not a libtard conspiracy theorist, but I do have a brain that functions in a logical way. Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together and asking youself 'why would the President be pushing this so hard? it can't just be the 15 illegals working his ranch ... must be something bigger' well, let's think bigger.
Especially in a time of war, the president can declare martial law (suspension of civil authority and the imposition of military authority).
"Article 1, Section 9 states, "The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." Habeas corpus is a concept of law, in which a person may not be held by the government without a valid reason for being held. ...
Because of this connection of the two concepts, it is often argued that only Congress can declare martial law, because Congress alone is granted the power to suspend the writ. The President, however, is commander-in-chief of the military, and it has been argued that the President can take it upon himself to declare martial law. In these times, Congress may decide not to act, effectively accepting martial law by failing to stop it; Congress may agree to the declaration, putting the official stamp of approval on the declaration; or it can reject the President's imposition of martial law, which could set up a power struggle between the Congress and the Executive that only the Judiciary would be able to resolve.
In the United States, there is precedent for martial law. Several times in the course of our history, martial law of varying degrees has been declared. The most obvious and often-cited example was when President Lincoln declared martial law during the Civil War (September 15, 1863). This instance provides us with most of the rules for martial law that we would use today, should the need arise."(1)
Martial law was also declared in 1812 (New Orleans), 1892 (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho), 1906 (San Francisco), 1914 (Colorado), 1934 (California), 8-25-2005 (New Orleans). (1)
The point of this being that martial law can be declared in response to a (perceived) rebellion (which is how the government will view the uprising that WILL take place should any form of "amnesty" be granted to illegal criminals).

the only people placing us as much as fail are the Democrats. And Bush isn't working for reelection, in accordance to the consitution a president can in basic terms serve for 2 words. i might assume hillery if she get into the White homestead (God forbid) will pull this type of difficulty, yet no longer Bush.

I don't think you are crazy at all. All this fuss with immigration is all smoke and mirrors, something is going on.First they have the EU then they unite North America with Mexico and Canada. After that, what is next? One world power.I do hope we are both crazy or we are all in for alot of pain.

This was emaild to me:
The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right? The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the president. In essence 2/3s of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change.
So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What are we so unhappy about?''
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter? Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job? Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the
Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state? Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings.
Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world ? Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have ,
and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been
called every name in th e book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?
The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me? Did you hear how bad the president is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?
Think about it......are you upset at the President because he
actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day. Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a
''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig. So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans? Say what you want but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and
media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by "justifying" them in one way or another.
Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.
We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative."
"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides,
flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

WHAT!!!???? what the heck? why would us getting mad lead to him being dictator in a democracy? its IMPOSSIBLE. some one would "take care of him" before that ever happened. how do we support mexico? and he ruins us out of sheer stupidity and self serving reasons. he is more concerned about him than the country. (otherwise he would have never made the no child left behind thing)
