going to the bahamas for one week. the airfare and accomodations are already paid for. so, how much do you think a couple should bring just to be safe? also, i always hear about how "cheap" you can get souvenirs there if you haggle, but i've never heard a dollar amount. can someone give me a rough idea of how cheap we're talking? i just don't want to go and run out of money! thank you in advance.

Bring what ever you think is reasonable. BUT REMEMBER THAT THEY HAVE BAHAMAS DOLLAR IT IS NOT THE SAME AS WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Good luck and have a great trip. May god be with you

Not much worth doing in the caribbean but drinking and swimming. Well take away the watersports and you are left with nothing. I would say depends on how active and how much you drink. But say $50 a day per person should even get you on an excursion per day. Rule of thumb for budget traveling is about $70 per day per person on a tight budget. This not including air, lodging, or car rental.
