Hell to me has different forms.
Hell in mythos is where the devil and/or demons lives or will live depending on belief.
I believe we create our own hell and demons through bad choices and choices we make without the best spiritual preparations.
Hell is also sometimes created for us through a bad enviroment, like an abusive parent or spouse.
Hell in the afterlife to me can also be defined as being set aside of God. Hidden away from the light that is God, and the glorious wisdom that that light gives.
I think the afterlife is pretty much personal. I think its different for everyone perhaps with something that is overall the same but hell itself would be just being away from the illumination of God.

the thought that each individuals idea of hell is different, what is hell for one may be heaven to another, for instance, an alcoholics idea of hell would be to be in a tea total town for the rest of his existance, while to somone who doesnt drink, being surrounded by bars 24/7 with all the associated troubles would be hell. so to summarise, hell is what you make it, same as heaven, have a good day
