It is better to understand the rest of the bible before you under stand Revelation. There are things in this book, that can only be understood, if you have gone through the other books. Chapter 4 describes (john speaks of heaven and that he is ascended) that church (in the unity of Christ) is rapture (in a twinkle of an eye the church will be rapture) and that is when the AntiChrist (opposite of christ, he wants to copy Jesus) is released into the world (it is a man that is the Antichrist or beast, which he will think he is God. You will have to wear the mark of the beast 666. This number comes from the number of a man. 6 is the number of man and three 6's ins-cession is part of God's system, which refers to God manifest. God will raised the dead and if they are not in the book of life or if they are in the book of works, they will be cast into the lake of fire.
To really understand it and to be rapture with the rest of the church (you do not want to be here after the rapture), you to find a home church, be baptized with the holy spirit, be obedient and follow God's word.

It's "Revelation" and is a First Century view of the fall of Rome, consistenly misinterpreted by billions ever since.
Addendum: "You will have to wear the mark of the beast 666. This number comes from the number of a man. 6 is the number of man and three 6's ins-cession is part of God's system, "
See? Do a little historical research and discover the fallacy here for yourself.

Go to the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and pick up the book "Revelation-Its Grand Climax at Hand" it is of no cost. Infact, all congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide are studying this book in their Tuesday night bookstudy. Some areas may have their book study on a different night you may want to check with your local Kingdom Hall to see what their time is. But you will definitely understand the book of Revelation.

I would be glad to. Revelations are when all things are revealed. Every knee will bow and every tongue will wag. The Lord returns with the three horsemen and there is a great battle with Satan in the sky and every one will rapture except those left behind who will have 666 stamped on their head. and surely I come quickly saith the Lord. and that's about it. Was that clear enough for you. glad I could help. Of course I condensed it for you and left out all the nonsense.

Revelation contains its own outline in Rev. 1:19.
John is commanded to write the things which were, which are, and are to come. (past, present, future).
An excellent and easy to understand study of the Book of Revelation can be found online.
Pastor Jon Courson is Pastor of Applegate Christian Fellowship in Oregon. (A Calvary Chapel outreach church.)

i'm 22. i came to know what Revelations mean by going to church, asking the pastor, and my own reading.
it is basically about Jesus' Second Coming.
it also talks about Christians being persecuted badly, being killed daily when it is near to His Coming.
it also talks about "an adulterer organisation" who will betray Jesus and the christians, and help the beast (a political leader who will unite the world to come against christians) to destroy the church and christians.
it also talks about the disasters that will happen, plagues, diseases, wars etc.
it also talks about Jesus defeating the beast, and satan himself.
actually, if you want to know more about the end times, you can search in the book of matthew, luke and mark too.

when you first read it you have no idea how it is related to religion at all, but once you learn to recognize what different pieces of each "story" is then it comes together (the only problem is different religions interpret it differently). Either way religion is sometimes, VERY symbolic, you just have to take the time to work out each piece of the puzzle. Hope this helps!

there are plenty of places that will give you, or send you a free bible. look around online. also, hotel rooms. every nightstand in every hotel/motel in this country contains one, and it's not there for entertainment purposes, they want you to take it. good luck, and have fun reading about the biggest dungeons-and-dragons-style war ever! oh, yeah, he does say that he's comin' right back, and you know hippies. crummy sandals, bad b.o., and super late for everything. like "dude, i was watchin' the discovery channel and i just got so into this leopard"....or whatever.
