I am almost 15 and havn't touched more then a sip of liquor in my life. But I am curious with just trying some and seeing my limit and what its like to be drunk. Is this ok? What should i do, should i try some liquor with a friend? Or at a party? Or alone? Gahh. A lot of people my age have gotten drunk/drink but i havn't and am curious and would like to just experience it. What should i do?

Best wait until you are older. Trust me, it's not all that fun, and you will have plenty of time to experience it later!

Spin around in a circle a few times...notice how dizzy you are? Do you want to throw up a bit? Drinking is kind of like that.
You feel sick, can't walk straight, everything is spinning, and your inhibitions are lowered when you drink, which means that you are more likely to do things you're going to regret in the morning.

If you are hell-bent on trying it, make sure you are with friends you trust, and either make some one a designated driver (that person doesn't touch a drop of alcohol) or make sure you aren't going to be driving or with someone who's drunk and driving. Stay away from liquor (you'll get drunk fast and puke even faster) and drink beer or wine coolers. If you get into trouble, don't be afraid to call your parents or guardian. Sure, they will be mad, but it's more important that you stay safe. You can deal with their being mad later. Don't ever let someone talk you into doing something that you don't feel comfortable doing. Always listen to your "gut" feeling :)
And be careful how much and how often you drink. It's really easy to develop a problem and not realize it until it's too late.

At your age just do your best to stay way from it.

Remeber drunk driving is the number one killer of people in your age group.

Not to be rude but at your age you are still not fully developed. It is not your fault it is just that you have not been around long enough.

Alcohol can be enjoyed in moderation and you will get a chance to experience that later once you have more life experience under your belt. Trust me a cold beer or a good glass of wine or even some good tequilla or scotch is very good especially with food and famly/friends. I have a huge feast very Sunday and this includes lots of food, beer and wine and good friends. Nothing wrong with that.

However, you need to be a little older to know your limits and you have to make damn sure that you do NOT drink and drive. Drinking and driving will land you in jail or worse.

Alcohol can also lead to all kinds of problems as well. Drunk driving can land you in jail. Alcohol when used in excess can and does cause fights/violence. In fact in over 70% of all murders at least one of the parties involved (or both more likely) was drunk.

Also, I see it all the time in the area I live in. Some guy goes out and gets drunk and then he spills a drink one some one or maybe looks at a guys gf in the "wrong way" or something of this nature and then later that night the poor guy gets killed. Probably by some one who is also drunk. These kind of things would not happen if the people involved were not drunk.

I know that you probably do not like what I am telling you but the 6 year waiting period is well worth it. Hopeflly in those 6 years you can grow and understand what is and is not accetable in terms of alcohol use.

"getting wasted" and drunk driving are not permitted under any circumstances!

first time I got...well, only time I ever got that drunk, but drunk nonetheless...was new years eve. I was 15 years old. The first thing I did was start chugging stuff. worst idea EVER. DO NOT CHUG STUFF!!! you will get more messed up then you should be asked to handle your first time. the biggest problem is that you don't know how much to take. and as for me, i assumed you needed a lot to get drunk. you don't. Not alone. You will prolly need support. not at a party, you'll be too overwhelmed. with a friend. for sure. i would definitely not recommend liquor for your first time. for me it was wine and champagne. now i hate them both, but oh well. if you do decided to do liquor, go buy a shot glass, those are the little ones, not the big ones or rather shooters, and don't take more than 3 shots. make sure you EAT, because my dumbass didn't and i had the worst hangover in the world the next day. eat, don't overdo it, be in a comfortable environment, have someone with you.

im not like everybody, i wont tell u to not drink. instead im telling u to drink. not coz im an alcoholic and i want to be a bad influence on other kids. no, not at all.. i think 15 is quite a good age for learning. experience can teach u better than listening to lectures of older people.. i mean, after u get your curiosity quenched, then u could decide if what u did was right, and if u want to do it again or not.. but please dont try it alone, so that in case anything ever happens (not that im scaring u okay, dont get me wrong, im ,just making sure..) it would be better if you've got friends around. and it could even be more fun at that. (= just take this as an older sister's advice, okay. (=

Ok. I really have experience with this. A party is the best way......no matter what, and please dont drink too much. It can kill you! I'm serious, and never, ever, get into a car with people who have been drinking. Because once the fun begins its can easily happen....k??? DO NOT!!!!. And have fun.................I know you will. Start off with 2 drinks and see how you feel after 15 minutes, then try 2 more and stop. You should be drunk then, even if its beer. Please be safe cuz bad things can happen k???? DONT GET INTO A CAR!!!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>keep that in your head at all times and have somebody watch over you.

okay look every1's here sayin u shouldnt do and trying to scare you from doing it. but im just going to say ye go for butm set a limit like just buy a 6 pack 2 start of with 4 tha first time to no ur boundaries. dont drink excessively so u dont remember anything its not good + u'll get a mad hangover. the best place to hav a drink would be at a party but make sure u got a real good, responsible friend looking out for ya so u dont get exploited or overdo it.
good luck and try not to overdo it or u'll pay in tha morning [plus other things could happen etc - uve herd it all b4]

It is not at all what it is cracked up to be. Puking your guts out & a massive headache is NOT at all fun.

Most kids said teens who drink alcohol are not cool. More than 90% of the kids said they are very uncool (86%) or uncool (6%). And 89% of kids said that drinking alcohol at their age (9 to 13) was never OK. That shows that a lot of kids are pretty smart about the dangers of alcohol. They probably know that it's risky for kids to drink alcohol because:

* It can make them sick (like making them throw up, pass out, or worse).
* It can hurt their ability to make good decisions.
* It can make them do things that are embarrassing.
* It can get them into trouble (with parents or police).
* It can be addictive, meaning that the person might start needing alcohol to feel good.

But what about the kids who didn't agree? Three percent of kids said, at their age, it was always OK to drink alcohol. And although 90% of kids said they never tried alcohol, or only tried it once, 6% of kids said they often drink more than a sip - every week or every month.

It's natural to be curious, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. No matter what you're friends might act like, you aren't missing much. At least not enough to put yourself in that kind of danger. There's way too much at stake to risk over a cheap thrill like drinking.

Don't get me wrong, I do my share of drinking, but the point is to do it responsibly and when you're ready. I would say that at (almost) 15, you're definitely starting a little too early.

Stay away from it. You are way too young. Alcohol/ drugs have destroyed many young lives. There are many other things in life which are more rewarding. If you really have to experience it, sneak a few at your parents next party. At least there will be responsible people to make sure you are safe.

At your young age you should not be experimenting. You won't be able to take alcohol as well as you can when you are 21. there are Dangers drinking by yourself and dangers drinking in a party. There are date rape drugs and alcohol poisoning. There is a reason that they have a drinking age. Your friends are not "cool" because they drink. Don;t follow the crowd...be yourself.
