breakfast can make or break your diet!!
if you skip breakfast-you're more likely to snack throughout the morning or pig out on somethink quick (and high fat) from the nearest drive-through. this sabatoges any diet b/c the snack tends to be quick and easy (like whatever the vending machine at work or school has)
eating the wrong thing for breakfast (like high sugared cereal, pancakes w/lots of syrup, or the mcdonald's drive through) can ruin your diet as well.
best thing to do-eat a sensible and small breakfast. pack things to snack on for mid-morning but make them good choices.
ideal breakfast foods are
-whole wheat toast or english muffin w/low fat butter or apple butter spread
-egg whites w/low fat salsa
-fat free yogurt w/granola
-apple slices w/peanut butter
-1/2 cup of cottage cheese w/dried mixed fruit, nuts,or fresh berries
for snack try packing
-100 calorie packs by nabisco (they come in a ton of flavors)

-rice cakes or mini rice cakes. the minis are great and easy to transport

-low calorie granola bars
-oranges or apples
-low cal popcorn
-veggie stick w/low fat ranch dressing
hope this helps

breakfast is the most important meal of the day. the body is in a catabolic state after the nightly fast and blood sugar is low. feeding when you wake up increases insulin which decreases cortisol and it's catabolic effects. eating breakfast jump starts the metabolic rate along with the energy that it provides. eating breakast will also prevent many from overeating at night.
breakfast is the onle meal where it is better to eat anthing than nothing at all. a Snickers bar or cup of ice cream is better than not eating breakfast.

good. It jump starts the metabolism. For weight loss you want you metabolism constantly going, it is recommended that you eat 5 small meals(an apple counts as a meal) a day spaced out about every 3 or 4 hours.

Banana is very healthy diet considered from long ago. Banana contains many vitamins and lots of fibers which are very helpful for digestion and keeping your stomach clean. Banana is also considered as a substitute for Apple. So it certainly will get 85/100 marks when compared for weight loss program.

A healthy breakfast is a must for weight loss.
If you don't take one, you will continue eating junk food, high in calories, with no nutritional value and without a "full" feeling, till your next meal, which will most probabbly be, high in calories.

My breakfast is about the biggest meal I have for the whole day. And it is spilt into two, one at 6am, low fat milk and some nuts, or multi grain bread, another at 9am, soya bean milk and curd, bbq pork or low fat forozen yoghurt.
They always vary anyway... But I burn all the calories by end of the day. More in my blog http://www.lowcarblowfathighfibrehighprotein.blogpsot.com

Au contraire to the posters above me...this all depends on when during the day you are sleeping and awake. If you work shift work it should be noted that whenever you wake up you should eat and not just skip a meal because you woke up too late.
