If so, shouldn't Marry be worshiped over Jesus?

It is believed that Mary was indeed a virgin. The biblical word can mean either "virgin" or "young unmarried woman". Mary is not worshiped because she is not a goddess.

No Mary's mother was not a Virgin, Mary was born the natural way. Some denominations believe that she was born without original sin and others believe that she was cleansed of all sin when she was visited by the Angel Gabrial

The virgin Mary was only a virgin until Jesus was born.

I believe that it was a Catholic belief that Mary was the first emaculate conception. It is why she was praised. Also, of course, for carrying the "son of God"

I am not sure if the Catholics still follow that belief today though.

Jesus is worshipped because he is both the "son of God" and "God" at the same time. Mary just carried him.

Basically, Jesus is worshipped because he's an all around pretty cool guy.
