so, i go to this lake every day with my friends, and there are these 2 girls there. I'm usually nice to them and they don't pay much attention to me or talk to me that much, but my friend makes fun of them and is mean to them and they talk to him more, sometimes in a good way, cuz he's actually funny, and sometimes in a bad. How can I get there attantion without copying my friend?

Be yourself......when you feel like he is mean to the girls try to defend them...if not....just tell them to ignore him and try to have a natural conversation with them.

Sounds like you do more observing and being entertained by the situation than actually joining in. What are your good qualitys? Put those forward and if they are not appreciated incert urself in a different situation for better chances at what you hope for. Seems you respect the attention he gets , no respect for how he does it all the time and goes with a little bruising of your ego and unfortunately it takes girls a while to realize that these types were not genuine in the first place and were best kept as a memory and not repeatedly and not always the best memories are displayed by this type of guy so your right not to pull a mimic. Look for things they (the girls truly appeciate each in their own right, narrow in on one and see that she gets plenty from you of what she likes but be true to yourself too and do not let her use you. Otherwise, reevaluate this instance and remove yourself from it if your not enjoying yourself and learn from it.

If you're too quiet, you can't.
Ask what else they like to do.
Rent a boat, or canoe or something for no more than 4 people. Invite the girls. Minor obligation to be nice to the host. If they still ignore you, find new friends, and hang out at a different part of the lake.

Whell you can say to her can i talk to you 4 a minut and if she still not paying attention well then you do what girls do play hard to get sometimes it works and other times it dosn't.Or you can try to get ur friend to talk to her for u and see what u might get.It seams to me that she might be the type of girl that whants to see how u act around her and us girl we can tell when ur fakeing and when ur real.Hope this helps.

Well Romeo, if they wanted to talk to you ---they would. They don't so move on. You just can't fight city hall----you can't force them to do anything. You obviously have struck out with them---leave them alone and try with someothers. There is probably more to this than you tell--but only you know the truth. Sometimes guys just try too hard---hey--what are you going to do??Move on--big stuff

I would just be yourself. and just talk to them, without coming of rude or anything. The more your acting yourself, and at least talking to them, then thats the way to go.
trust me, I would like it, if a guy came to be being himself, and just talking to me. So just keep doing that.

walk up to them, start a conversation. if your friends start being idiots, just apologise to them. they might start to pay attention to u. if they do, ask them out to the movies or something.

next time you go there, u and your friend could
do a BBQ, and offer them some food.
then start talking whether they accept the food or not.
