Buy the macro lense that matchs your brand camera. If you can't affor that. Sigma makes a good offmarket brand macro. A Macro lese zooms in on the subject you intend to photograph. I have the Nikkor 60mm and love it.

Macro lenses are used to do extreme closeups - this means photos at a very close distance. If you are planning to that you would need one - there are various types of lenses available.
What lens to buy depends on your camera - not knowing which one you have I can't give any advise.
