Yes. Opiates including opioid derivatives (heroin, oxycodone), synthetic opioid-like drugs (methadone, meperidine), alcohol, benzodiazepines (Ativan, Xanax, Valium) and nicotine may cause physical withdrawal.
Other drugs that may cause withdrawal are CNS stimulants such as amphetamines (methamphetamine, Adderall) and nonamphetamine stimulants (Ritalin, Meridia), cocaine, caffeine, barbiturates (pentobarbitol, phenolbarbitol) and nonbarbiturates (chloral hydrate, "Sleepers"), and some antidepressants especially tricylic antidepressants.
Of course, the symptoms and severity of the withdrawal will depend on the type of drug, duration it was taken, dosage, extent of dependence, abruptness of its discontinuation, and whether or not there was a taper off of the drug.
