Breast cancer usually starts with a noticible lump. But if you feel something that's off or doesn't feel right, see a doctor NOW. You need to catch it early if it is cancer.

I'm a breast cancer survivor. Generally, breast cancer doesn't hurt. Fibrocystic lumps which are benign do hurt and usually come and go with your monthly cycle. More tender right before. But in saying this, you know your breast, if it feels different than usual, get it check out by your doctor. You may need to have a mamogram or ultrasound done of your breast. FYI, breast cancer doesn't always feel like a lump. Sometimes it presents like a rubbery area in your breast or dimpling. Best rule of thumb is to know what is normal for you. It is probably nothing, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

It could be nothing but if it last more then a week you should go to the doctor. No matter what it is you want it checked out if it doesn't go away.
Also, not all breast cancers start with a lump, many have No lump at all.

I am also a breast cancer survivor of 14 years. I love what Kayy had to say and couldn't agree more. You are the best one to know what your breast feel like. Never put off having it checked out you need to have peace of mind. Good luck.

I am currently going through the same, I was told it is mondor's disease, a benign thrombosis of a vein possibly through recent trauma to the breast, if this sounds familiar you can google search mondor's and maybe this might help. check these symptoms with yours. Otherwise I wish you the best of luck finding the cause.

If you did not feel a lump then it should be ok. Not sure why it is sore. Since you are concerned though go see your doc and get it checked out.

It's probably not cancer! However, cancer lumps cannot be felt as soon as they can be seen on mamogram, if it is caught before there is a noticable lump, it is much easier to treat successfully....see the dr. right away...it will put your mind at ease, if it's not...if it is you will have caught it very early...Good luck...

Go to your doctor asap. My breast just felt sore and uncomfortable and I ignored it for a long time. Eventually I was so worried I arranged for a mammography and was then diagnosed with breast cancer. So please get it checked out.

Go see a doctor. Do not take a chance. I waited. Thought it was just an injury.
Now I am waiting for a mastectomy.
