My raw answer is this. Meditation is balancing of thoughts, attitudes and results. Extreme temperature scorches the body and extreme cold make the body shiver. At that stage none can engage in a true meditation for good results. A balanced temperature that suits the mental state is essential for concentrated meditation. lileeann33

A warm, but not too warm temperature is very yogic - it is good to have environmental conditions that are not extreme, so that the body can relax. That is why you see yogis sitting on animal skins - only to keep out the bite of the hard, cold earth, so they can relax, drop the body and go deep in meditation.

When you get enlightened you can control your temperature and then it doesn't matter. Like the monks who can dry wet sheets in the winter by meditating.

During meditation the temperature should be around 25 to 30 degree centegrade. It is not necessery to measure temperature one can have this temperature along lake, sea shore, river or in big garden, forestwhere hardly any body is present. If temperature is high at the above places your meditation makes it cool or comfortable.

To meditate takes practice, you have to shutout everything. From the noise outside to the pain in your leg, even the heat or cold. You relax and let go, you are perfect and nothing bothers you.

I find it much more difficult to meditate if I'm uncomfortable. Cold doesn't bother me nearly as much as heat.
Is this what you were asking?
