All types of scholars agree that the body of Jesus Christ was buried in a tomb belonging to Joseph of Arimathea. As a member of the Jewish court that condemned Jesus, it's not really likely that he is a work of "Christian fiction". *You can read about it in Mark15:43 and 15:46* Because it was recorded in the book of Mark, it is way too early to say that it is "legendary corruption".
Also, when you understand the role that women played in first-century Jewish society, what is really extraordinary is that this empty tomb story would feature females as the discoverers of the empty tomb. The fact that women are the first witnesses to the empty tomb is most plausibly explained by the reality that, like it or not, they were the discoverers of the empty tomb. This shows that the Gospel writers faithfully recorded what happened back then, even if it was embarrassing. And that fact would definately have been embarrassing to them. A lowly woman was the first to see the risen Lord?
In 1st Corinthians Chapter 15, Paul says that Christ "appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep." I'm pretty sure that's verse 6. It would have made more sense, if the whole thing were made up, to attribute these sightings to people who were dead, or who were patently made up. But they didn't do that.
And the last point, 11 out of the 12 *faithful* desciples of Jesus were martyred. I can see someone willing to face torture, vilification and painful deaths for something they believe is true. But can you see someone willing to face that for something they know is a lie? I can't. Humans have too good a sense of self-preservation for that. Yet 11 out of the 12 faithful desciples, starting with Stephen (the one who replaced Judas), were martyred. They would be the ones to know if it were a fraud or not, right?

Faith, for one, but beyond that, you need to look at the accuracy of the texts in Paul's Epistles. His letters to people and to churches are authenticated historically.

1 Corinthians 15 records that Jesus was seen alive after His crucifixion by a minimum of 513 people, many of whom survived to tell Paul about their experiences, some 20-30 years later. From the Gospel accounts, we also know that there were others who saw Jesus alive and walking about after the Resurrection.

The proof is in the knowledge of him as a personal savior. It's like asking for proof that the sun will rise tomorrow. FAITH. If you read the words of the Holy Bible and believe them to be true, and ask Christ to be your personal Savior and forgive your sins you will KNOW IN YOUR HEART, IT REALLY HAPPENED! That's all the proof I need. You will have to search out your own truth, I've told you how.

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Belief in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ there is no need of proof to a believer. Now to a non-believer a thousand pages would not be enough. So believe.

First there is the number of eye witness accounts.
Second, there has never been any discussion that His body was still in the grave the question is always "what happened to the body?"
Third, for the body to have disapeared you would have needed a handful of frightened Jews take it from under the noses of the Roman guard.
Finally, He lives in the lives of my brothers and sisters as well as myself.

Over 200 people saw him and had conversations with him
after his resurrection !
He even cooked a fish breakfast for Peter, James, and John.
He was alive and interacting with people for 40 days after his resurrection.
More important, my heart tells me it's true.

I can't. But I can't prove it didn't happen either.

Do you think Mohammed rode into heaven? Or is that a myth?
