Are there groups that encourage weight gain - looking for a good support group?
I am looking for a support group that provides encouragement for those like me who are fat and gaining. Maybe very fat and obese and growing. I have put on 100 pounds in the last two years to get to 380 and am looking to keep growing. I have heard that there are support groups but haven't found any active ones yet. Please let me know if you have heard of any or have friends that would be the support. I am good at gaining on my own but it always helps to hear others.

All I'm finding is weight loss support groups, sorry. Maybe nobody has made one. Try making your own and advertising it so people can join. Sorry!!! I believe that you should do what you want to do. If you want to gain weight, gain weight. If you want to lose weight, lose weight. As long as you are happy. Your health does not affect any of us. Good luck and I hope you find a support group that you like!!!

Willie - you might try finding someone who likes you large and likes to feed you or cook for you. I found my wife in school and she had seen me lose weight and then before we married she let me know she wanted a very very fat husband. I did not complain. I went from 250 to 400 in five years and was 500 at 30. I slowed down a bit to just over 550 in my mid 30s. Another suggestion if you don't mind is just keep eating - a lot at every meal and plenty of snacks all day. At your weight you will find yourself being less active and more sedentary. Try to stay healthy by at least walking or swimming - a nice exercise for us very obese guys. Give it time it will come. Add me to your 360 and I will be there to support you. I have looked for gaining groups as well. Many boards say they are about gaining, getting really big or being immobile but they don't seem to have much activity. Keep it up - welcome to the club.

I think it's right to accept being fat as a part of everyday life. However I still think people should try to stay healthy. After all, they're the ones who are going to develop health problems later on.

why would you want to find a group that would encourage you to do something bad for your health? hell, encourage yourself. im sure that by going to every ice cream shop in town, the shop owners will encourage you every time you hand them a ten spot.
like being a heroine addict and going somewhere where people cheer you on while ya shoot up.
