I tend toward Buddhist philosophy, without the teachings about reincarnation or deities. I also incorporate elements of secular humanism into the mix.

I have written on my computer scroll:

DAILY TO-DO LIST:
1. Engage in celebratory compassion.
2. Create something new.
3. Breathe deeply.

Humanism, existentialism, some solipsistic ideas, bits of sophistry, cynicism and a touch of nihilism.

Mostly it is my personal philosophy as it has eveolved, and continues to evolve, over the years on the basis of my experiences.

my own and others, the ones that make sense to me. i kind of compile them together in my mind. it's not a set system i adhere to, it's a fluid and dynamic set of internal guidelines that i adhere to not because i think it's the RIGHT way, but because it's what meshes with what i believe at the time. heh... maybe I'll write a book about it, lol.

I rather like the Epicurians, and Marcus Aurelius had some interesting things to say.

Yes... be good to others. That entails being generous even when you have nothing; being happy even when you are sad; apologizing even when you're not at fault; and understanding even when you haven't a clue.

Christians should try it sometime.
