Neither. I love that we're different and does it matter that we think differently? I still love him and he loves me, that's the point.

It drives me nuts when people pick friends and loved ones on base of religion, not based on who the people are. A person could be a bad, bad man but a Christian and some people would pick him over a friendly, really caring Wiccan. That's just dumb.

And we're all probably wrong about religion, every one of us.

To have a person you are in a committed relationship go from no religion to extreme religion is shocking and hard to reconcile.
When a person converts to a new religion it is a signal of a deep change within that person for whatever reason.
If you meet someone and has a different religious view then yours, it shouldn't be a problem unless you are set in your beliefs, then don't make it into a serious relationship. Unless, of course, you are looking for the constant challenge.

My husband and I are both Pagans (I'm Wiccan, he's more of a generic Pagan) and I like that we keep the same religion in the household. If he were not Pagan, it wouldn't have made much of a difference to me as long as he respected my beliefs. Same thing if he ever wanted to convert-- as long as he tried to respect my beliefs, I'd try and respect his.

The important question is about conversion rates. How christians equals 1 ba'hai? What about the rate for converting Hindus to Church of England.

Is it like miles to kilometres, and a fixed conversion rate, or more like the international money market where the rates fluctuate?

Make my partner convert? She's an intelligent, rational being, and she must choose her own spiritual path. As it happens, she doesn't share my beliefs. I respect her right to believe in what she wishes. She does not push me to adopt her beliefs, either. We attend separate services, and have separate spiritual lives. But we do have very interesting discussions about it, and I love talking with her about all things spiritual.

My husband is a midwestern fundy and I am an atheist/borderline agnostic, and we've been married almost 6 years...no attempts at conversion or convincing on either side. I even go with him to church, depending on how I feel.

See how that would work with a Muslim man and an atheist woman.

I don't expect other people to conform to my belief system, and they should allow the same (unlike most christians)

I'm a Christian Gnostic and I dated a Mormon. I had no problem with his religious background or what he believed in and he felt the same about me.

Religion is a very subjective aspect in a relationship, in my opinion.

The bible warns not to marry an unbeliever, if you are saved.
I know that Larry King is an atheist and his wife is Mormon, I have no idea , how that would work, but I guess they manage.
