'feed a cold, starve a fever'?

It is Starve a fever, Feed a Cold, but as some have pointed out, it's not sound advice. If you have a fever you may be too sick to hold down food, or if you have a bad cold it might hurt to eat, that's the only way it makes sense. Generally, whenever you're sick you should still be eating healthily, and most importantly you should be getting lots of fluids... water and clear, non-carbonated drinks.

So really, it should be: provide adequate nutrition and hydration to a cold, and provide adequate nutrition and hydration to a fever.

EITHER WAY IF YOU ARE SICK.. YOUR BODY NEEDS SOMETHING TO FEED ON.... BUT I'M GUESSING IT MAY BE FEED A COLD, STARVE A FEVER.....

i think you should feed both, but hot soup for colds, ice cream/ice chips,etc for fevers and lots of fluids (especially orange juice or water) for either

Neither. Both are false, but its best to give any sick person nutrition.
